My Style: Dressing For Yeezus

Cocos Tea Party Ella Three Floor

Maybe the media circus that surrounded the #KimyeWedding is to blame, or perhaps it’s my own fault for watching one too many Keeping Up with the Kardashians marathons, but this outfit definitely has a whiff of Kim Kardashian dressing to impress Kanye West. And, I can assure you, I have little interest in impressing Yeezus. I don’t even own a pair of leather jogging bottoms.

The Kimye look all started with Three Floor’s sleeveless REPORTOIRE trench coat, which is seriously luxe with its military details and faux-leather panel. As it makes such a statement on its own, I paired it with a simple black tank top, pointed-toe Tibi heels from last A/W and yet another pair of ASOS Ridley jeans. (If you hadn’t noticed, I’ve developed a bit of a Ridley addiction – I can’t stop ordering them in every wash).

I also borrowed BACK by Ann-Sofie Back’s funky buckle-detail handbag, which brought a much-needed burst of colour to the outfit. I was originally carrying my 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli satchel that day, but as we passed the Swedish designer’s London showroom I popped in for a quick browse and did a cheeky bag swap. I can’t decide whether it makes the look more or less Kimye though. So I’ll let you be the judge of that!

Do you like the look of Three Floor’s sleeveless trench coat? How would you style it? Leave a comment to let me know…

Love this sleeveless trench and the way you styled it ( I also would love wearing it with a white skort and white tee) and I totally feel you on the Ridley addiction … I just ordered my 4th pair 😉

Wow! What colours do you own? I’m waiting for the white ones to come back in my size.

      • Chrissabella says:

I got several shades of blue (non ripped, one ripp and both knees) yes I know it’s bad 😉 and I’m also waiting for the white ones to come back haha xx

I love the pop of blue from your watch and the bag. The black looks good for showing off the trench but I think I might prefer a maxi skirt to jeans and a thin cotton tank top. But that’s because the weather around my area is in the 80’s to 90’s every day so something light and breezy is a must.

Nice jacket sadly you look too pale, not good.

  8. Accademia di Moda says:

Love the unique construction of the classic trench! The pale pink is perfect for Spring and paired with a pop of color makes it a fantastic choice!
