The Christmas Gift Guide 2013, Part Three: Dads, Brothers & Boyfriends

Shopping for guys is supremely dull. How do you get enthusiastic about gadgets, DVD boxsets, socks and headphones? Christmas is one of the few times in the year when I wish I had a sister instead of a brother – then I could have some fun in the Selfridges beauty hall, instead of shlepping down to the lower ground floor where all the tech geeks are tucked away out of view. If you hate shopping for men too, hopefully this gift guide will give you a few ideas…

Christmas Gift Ideas For MenHot English Mustard, £3.99 at Selfridges | Gentleman’s Shoe Shine Kit, £14.95 at ASOS | Check Cotton-Flannel Shirt, £80 by J.Crew | Sandwich Defender Plate, £27.95 by Jimbob Art | Facial Fuel Anti–Wrinkle Cream, £30.50 by Kiehl’s | Google Nexus 7 Tablet, £199.95 at John Lewis | Velvet and Silk Bow Tie, £80 by Lanvin | Smartphone Camera Lens, £25 by Paladone

Last year I bought plaid J.Crew shirts for both my dad and brother, and they loved them. They’re a fail-safe gift, and on the high street UNIQLO and Gap do the best styles. I also think it’s impossible to go wrong with Kiehl’s grooming products and a few gadgets. The Google Nexus 7 is equipped with all the latest Google technology (I’m addicted to Google Voice), and Paladone’s clip on camera lens instantly improves the quality of phone pictures.

To be honest I think that I’d be more thrilled with any of these gifts than any of the men in my life… Still think they’re great choices though!
