Good foundations are like buses. You wait ages for one to show up, and then two arrive at once! Last week I featured my new favourite, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact, and that same day I was introduced to another fabulous cover-up: Terrybly Densiliss Wrinkle Control Serum Foundation from By Terry.
I’m sure most of you are familiar with By Terry already, but if not the short story is as follows… Terry de Gunzburg used to be creative director at YSL Beauté (she invented Touche Éclat), before launching her own cosmetics collection, which naturally is absolutely brilliant! The new foundation is the world’s first wrinkle control and firming serum foundation – so treats all signs of ageing whilst evening out skin tone.
As I’m in my early 20’s fine lines aren’t a concern yet, but Wrinkle Control Serum Foundation treats and prevents signs of ageing, so is a great product for all ages. I’ve been applying a small amount of the lightest shade – N°1 Fresh Fair – with a Real Techniques foundation brush and it gives a beautiful, light finish. So after having major foundation dilemmas I now have two products I know I can count on: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Crème Compact (£33) and By Terry Terrybly Densiliss Wrinkle Control Serum Foundation (£75 – expensive, but it is two products in one).
(The By Terry team also introduced me to a fabulous Royal Navy khol liner and convinced me to try Touch-expert Advanced for the dark circles under my eyes. I’ve never been a Touche Éclat fan, so had avoided Touch-expert, but it’s actually working really well for me.)
