My Style | 3 Ways to Wear Boden Trousers

Boden Chelsea Trousers Ella Gregory Cocos Tea Party

So, it looks as if the summer is officially over – not that it ever really got going in the UK to begin with [insert crying emoji here]. And to prepare for autumn’s early arrival I’ve been looking back at my style posts from last fall, in the hope they’ll give me some much-needed inspiration. One of my favourite outfits featured a pair of printed Boden trousers, and this week I’m championing the British brand once again, digging into their fantastic AW15 collection.

Boden challenged me to style their signature Chelsea trousers in three different ways, and here’s how I got on. Let me know which ensemble is your favourite…

Updated Classics

Is there anything as chic as tailored black trousers worn with a classic camel coat? I don’t think so! This will be my go-to outfit for meetings this fall, as it’s formal without lacking personality. The London bus bag probably isn’t for everybody, but I think it adds a fun element to the look and it’s also a great conversation starter.

Head-to-toe Colour

You can always count on Boden to produce a wonderful array of colourful cashmere sweaters, and I couldn’t resist going for a bold colour-blocked combination here. I was actually tempted to try mixing the purple trousers with a yellow knit instead, but that seemed a little bit too daring, so I settled on hot pink. Do you like the mix?

Off Duty Style

I won’t lie, this outfit felt the most alien to me because, well…  trousers on the weekend? As you know, I practically live in skinny jeans, so opting for something tailored in my downtime seems a little backwards. However, the blue tile print Chelsea turn-ups are really easy to dress down, as go they go perfectly with denim and marl grey tees. And – on a side note – how cute is the tassel keychain? Expect to see it on every handbag I carry this season!

It’s hard to choose between the first and second but I love the colour clash so second wins for me! I think they would look so cool with a yellow sweater. And yes that bag tassel is the cutest.
