The Daily Health Supplements I Swear By

If you’re a fan of The Real Housewives of New York City you’ll know that, each season, when the ladies of Manhattan take their annual “girls trip” they inevitably spend half of their vacation talking about poop – who is constipated, and who isn’t.

Well, I just came back from a weeklong holiday in Menorca, and I fell into the same pattern with one of my besties (thankfully our friendship survived my constant chorus of “I’m bloated… I’m constipated”).

As some of you may know, I suffer from IBS, and it generally gets worse whenever I travel. It’s easy to avoid my main trigger foods when I’m at home (gluten, onions and apples are the key culprits); but when I’m travelling it becomes harder to restrict my diet (especially if I’m not cooking for myself). So, for the first few days of my holiday, my digestive system was thrown completely out of sync.

The Digestion Supplements I Swear By

Earlier this year I sat down with nutritional therapist Henrietta Norton (gifted appointment), to discuss my IBS. Henrietta quickly realised that I was taking the wrong kind of probiotics, and prescribed the Multi Strain Biotic from her line of health supplements, Wild Nutrition.

I immediately switched over, and the Wild Nutrition Multi Strain Biotic has honestly been the most effective treatment for my digestion-dramas. I’d go so far as to say it’s the best probiotic for IBS (at least, it has been in my case). Since making it a part of my morning routine, three months ago, my symptoms have drastically improved.

I didn’t take the Multi Strain Biotic on holiday, because it’s a fine, white powder that you mix with water, and I was genuinely afraid airport security would think I was smuggling cocaine in my suitcase. But, after spending a week without it, I’ve come to realise how much it improves my quality of life (which, yes, sounds very dramatic).

Feeling bloated, constipated and uncomfortable sucks. Especially when you’re supposed to be having fun at the beach in skimpy bikinis.

So, if anyone out there is currently struggling with their digestion, I truly think it’s worth checking out the Wild Nutrition probiotic. It’s £35 for a one-month supply, but you can subscribe to receive a jar each month, and that brings the price down to about £30 per month (this is what I do).

Along with the Wild Nutrition Multi Strain Biotic I also take their digestive enzymes with food, twice a day (if I remember). And I’m also a fan of the Wild Nutrition Daily Multi Nutrient. Honestly, it’s a fantastic wellness line, and has supplements for everything from digestion, pregnancy, menopause and fertility.
