What to Pack for a Spring Vacation
Green broderie dress by Monsoon | Embellished shirt by Tu | Gold slip-on shoes by Sam Edelman | Cat-eye sunglasses by Le Specs | Straw tote bag by Loeffler Randall | Gel bronzer by Chantecaille | Linen top by Innika Choo | Stripe bikini top by Solid & Striped | Stripe bikini bottoms by Solid & Striped | Wrap mini skirt by River Island | Straight leg jeans by H&M
Raise a hand if you’re tempted to book a last-minute spring vacation… I sure am! My body is craving a generous dose of vitamin D, right now. A few weeks ago I watched the Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen movie Ingrid Goes West, and I’ve been keeping an eye on flights to Los Angeles ever since.
Elizabeth Olsen’s wardrobe in Ingrid Goes West is right up my alley. Think embroidered blouses, peasant dresses, washed denim, statement sunglasses and straw accessories. And as none of the above are currently appropriate to wear in London, I’m daydreaming about an impromptu West Coast vacation.
To get the look I’d pair H&M straight leg jeans with Innika Choo’s linen top, Sam Edelman’s slip-on flats and Le Specs’ cat-eye sunglasses. Or accessorise Monsoon’s pretty broderie anglaise dress with Loeffler Randall’s straw tote bag.
Undone hair and minimal makeup will complete both looks. But a subtle dap of Chantecaille’s gel bronzer is needed for the cheeks, to fake that healthy, California glow…
