Beauty Boost: Inside My Winter Makeup Bag

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month you’ll know that the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette has just launched. It’s already available to purchase in the US (Sephora, $52), and it will go on sale in the UK on December 16th (Debenhams, £37). I managed to get my hands on a press sample and am happy to confirm it lives up to the hype. There are 12 new neutral shades – 4 matte, 8 with a subtle shimmer – which all have warm, rose gold undertones.  I’ve been wearing the colours on a daily basis since receiving

Accompanying the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette in my winter makeup bag is the Malin + Goetz Lip Moisturizer, which is super-hydrating, and one of my favourite pink nail polishes: Revlon ‘Cherries in the Snow’. I’ve also been mixing up my concealer routine lately, and have started pairing Estée Lauder Double Wear stay-in-Place High Cover Concealer SPF 35 with the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat Collector. They work really nicely together to give a bright-eyed look.

And I’ve also just discovered the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. Usually I prefer to apply gel liner with a makeup brush, so have always resisted Eyeko’s much-loved pen. But I recently received one of the Alexa Chung gift sets and it was love at first use! It applies really easily, the pigment is fantastic so you only need one coat, and it lasts all day. If you haven’t tried Eyeko before definitely add this liquid eyeliner to your Christmas list!

And my personalised pouch is from #IJ London. It’s actually supposed to a clutch, but it’s the perfect size for all my day-to-day beauty essentials, so I’ve turned it into a makeup bag.

Are you excited about the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette? And are any of these products also in your winter beauty bag?

Thanks for the feature Ella! p.s. love the palette as well..want one now!

  • I love your makeup bag! Curious, do most of you have a separate makeup bag for just day to day stuff? Or do you keep all your makeup in the same place?

I have a bag of my favourite day-to-day pieces and then keep the rest in stored in old Birchboxs etc. Then I’ll usually take stuff out of the bag and add new things back in every couple of weeks.
