What’s Inside My Summer Holiday Cosmetics Bag

Summer Toiletry Travel Bag SPF

On Monday I’m jetting off to Menorca to spend a few days relaxing in the sun with Monica from The Elgin Avenue. I’m ridiculously excited to escape London for a few days, and I can’t wait to explore the Balearic island, which I’ve never visited before.

I packed my cosmetics bag a couple of days ago so that I could show you what I’m taking with me. We’re flying EasyJet, so I have to stick to the bare essentials to stay within their strict luggage allowance. And, to be honest, that’s alright with me because who wants to wear a face full of makeup on holiday?! Here’s a quick breakdown of everything I’m taking in my toiletry travel bag…

Ultrasun Face SPF50

Garnier Ambre Solaire Sensitive Advanced Sun Protection Oil SPF50

Bioderma Sebium H2O Cleansing Water

Diptyque Protective Moisturizing Lotion and Diptyque Nourishing Cleansing Balm (Travel sizes)

I take SPF pretty seriously, so I’ll be using a factor 50 throughout the trip. Ultrasun is more expensive than your average supermarket SPF, but their formulas are second to none and I recommend them to everyone who says they hate wearing suncream. It’s not greasy or chalky, and it can be applied to really sensitive skin too. So no excuses!

Summer Holiday Makeup Bag

Lancôme Miracle Cushion Compact

Bobbi Brown Corrector and Charlotte Tilbury Retoucher

Benefit Hoola Bronzer

NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt and Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Campanule

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

Lipstick Queen ‘Frog Prince’ and Bobbi Brown Art Stick in ‘Hot Orange’

I don’t like to wear much makeup on holiday, so I’ll switch my regular liquid foundation for Lancôme’s Miracle Cushion Compact. It’s a light and weightless formula, but you can build up the coverage if you apply it with your fingertips. So I’ll have the option to look a little more polished in the evenings.

Gillette Venus Snap Portable Razor

Gillette Venus Snap Portable Razor (So mini! So cute!)

Tangle Teezer

Estée Lauder Nail Lacquer in Blossom Bright and Chanel Nail Colour in Lavanda

Parlor Moisturising Salt Spray

Liz Earle Botanical Essence Eau De Parfum No.100

This probably makes me sound like a right loser, but I’m really excited to take my Gillette portable razor on holiday. I love miniature things, and this is just so cute! And so useful! Thinking about it, it’s actually pretty bizarre that no one thought to produce a scaled-down travel razor up until now. Right?

What are your summer holiday beauty essentials? I’d love to know what’s in your toiletry travel bag, so leave a comment to let me know…
