The High Street Pre-Fall 2017 Heroes to Fall in Love With

Pre-Fall 2017 High Street

Truly, I feel like I’m now so out of the loop when it comes to designer fashion. I honestly wouldn’t be able to recognise a single piece from the Pre-Fall 2017 collections, and would likely have even worse luck with the actual Autumn/Winter lines. I stopped paying attention around the time it became acceptable to charge £325 for a single pair of socks, and I haven’t looked back.

That doesn’t mean I’m completely immune to a bit of Pre-Fall 2017 excitement though. I’ve just been directing my attention towards the high street, where there’s lot to write home about. And the star of the show has to be L.K. Bennett’s adorable pointed-toe velvet flats, which are available in blue, burgundy and black.

Why are they so special, you might be wondering. Well, just let me count the ways… First of all, they make your feet look spectacular – and that’s rare to find in a pair of flats. They’re ridiculously comfortable (no blisters on my first wear – a footwear miracle!). The sumptuous velvet maximises your cost-per-wear opportunities, as they’re perfect for day and night. Plus, they look like the kind of shoe you’d find in Alexa Chung’s closet. And who doesn’t want to give their look a bit of the Chung Factor?

How to Wear Stripes at Work

Along with L.K. Bennett’s delightful flats, I’m also really loving Warehouse at the moment. Especially when it comes to dresses (check out this fabulous open-back design and their embroidered denim dress).

As a stripe-obsessive I was naturally drawn to Warehouse’s midi wrap dress, which instantly gives off a polished, “I’m ready for business” vibe. It’s the kind of dress that makes me want to own a Filofax and schedule conference calls. You can’t help but feel sassy and powerful in it!

And you know that I’m also a big cheerleader for Next. I’ve worked with the British brand for a number of years, and honestly think their collections get better and better each season. Their Pre-Fall offering dropped a few weeks ago and there are so many covetable pieces in the lineup (including this utility jacket, which I definitely don’t need but still absolutely adore). I’ve been carrying their affordable circle-handle handbag for a few weeks, and it’s been drowning in compliments. It’s the perfect trans-seasonal bag!

Have you also started shopping the Pre-Fall 2017 high street collections? If so, what pieces have you added to your wardrobe? I’m desperate to know, so leave a comment below to share your best fashion finds…

  • I refuse to pre-fall this year, surely we need some proper summer before fall comes!

  • This is quite beautiful and though the blue color looks amazing but it would have been look more beautiful if the same would have been in pink color or more.
