For as long as I can remember Mulberry have produced unusual London Fashion Week invitations, and Autumn/Winter 2015 was no different. A courier arrived at my front door five days before their presentation clutching a small yet freakishly heavy cardboard box, and inside was a tiny plaster cornice (click here to see). I wondered what it was supposed to represent and all became clear when I stepped into their showroom later that week to discover a lineup of ready-to-wear and accessories inspired by Georgian interiors.
The Mulberry AW15 collection was designed by the brands in-house team (new creative director, Johnny Coca, officially joins the label in July) and is full of beautifully crafted shearling coats, heavy knits and printed silk dresses. There’s also a brand new handbag – The Jamie – which comes in a range colours, including bubblegum pink.
I was kindly loaned an outfit from Mulberry’s Resort 2015 collection to wear the presentation, which I accessorised with a zesty orange Lily bag (now top of my wish list) and chocolate brown Stuart Weitzman boots. It was definitely my favourite LFW look, this season, even it it was bloody freezing!
Do you like the look of Mulberry’s Fall 2015 collection? And what do you make of my Resort outfit? Leave a comment and let me know…
