Malin+Goetz Bring a Dose of New York Cool to London

Malin+Goetz London Store

I’ve been feeling a little bit blue ever since I returned from New York, last month. This always happens after a visit to the Big Apple, and I usually dull the pain with Sex and the City marathons. However, this time around there might be another cure; because New York skincare brand Malin+Goetz open their first London stores today. And they promise to bring a big dollop of Manhattan cool to the UK…

I’ve been a fan of Malin+Goetz’s unisex skincare for a number of years. Their products are formulated for sensitive skin, using natural ingredients and “performance focused technologies”, so I can always trust they’ll be gentle and effective. My favourites include the otto candle (heaven in a jar), the intensely-hydrating lip moisturizer (ideal for long-haul flights), the uplifting peppermint body scrub and the lightweight replenishing face serum.

“While New York and London are indeed very different, they share key elements which set them apart from so many other cities. Both are intensely urban and dynamic creative centres; brimming with diversity, and an unstoppable savoir faire.”

The Upper Street and Monmouth Street store openings also coincide with the launch of Malin+Goetz’s UK e-commerce site. And you’ll be able to shop from their full range of products at every destination. If you have sensitive/problem skin and haven’t explored their offering yet it’s definitely worth going into store for a quick consultation.

Co-founder Matthew Malin suffers from a number of different skin concerns (including rosacea, eczema, seborrhea and fragrance allergies), and his quest to find simple, gentle and effective products is what lead to the creation of Malin+Goetz. You can find more information about their treatments here.

Visit the Malin+Goetz London stores at 146 Upper Street, Islington and 6 Monmouth Street, Covent Garden. And, if you’re passing through either area, be sure to look out for the graffiti stencils that Malin+Goetz have placed around town. If you Instagram a photo of the stencil using #MGUK and @malinangoetz you could be invited into store to collect a special prize.
