Okay, I’ll go right ahead and say it: I’m sick of winter. I’m sick of wearing heavy coats, knitwear and dark colours. I’m sick of long sleeves, shearling and practical biker boots. Winter has gone on for long enough, and I’m ready to start shopping the spring collections.
My “signature style” (if you can call it that) doesn’t work in winter. I feel most comfortable and confident wearing embellished dresses with espadrilles, or jeans and a peasant blouse. My preferred choice of outwear is a lightweight cargo jacket, and the only accessory I believe to be truly essential is the humble basket bag. Basically, I belong in California – not London!
Everything I want to wear is currently within reach, because the spring collections have hit the high street. But the climate is still 4-6 weeks behind. So, the big question is, do I start shopping now, or wait until I can actually wear this gorgeous loot? Answers on a postcard (or in the comments section below)…
