My Style | One Touch Summer Dressing With La Redoute

Ella Gregory La Redoute Cocos Tea Party

I’m a fairly lazy dresser at the best of times, but during the summer I simplify things even further by sticking to the “one touch” method. If you’re not familiar with “one touch” dressing here’s how it works…

“One touch” dressing is all about ease and simplicity. You simply open up your wardrobe, select one statement piece (a printed dress, or a sophisticated jumpsuit, for instance), style it up with a few well-chosen accessories and head straight out the door.

Unless you live in perpetually-sunny California, it’s hard to stick to the “one touch” rule year-round. But it’s easily implemented in the summer. And one brand that’s providing great “one touch” designs right now is La Redoute. Yep, that’s right, the French fashion retailer that basically dominated ’90s fashion with their mail order collections.

I’ve teamed up with La Redoute this season to highlight some of their key SS16 pieces. And, personally, I think this cotton playsuit is the cream of the crop. It requires little thought, works for beach and city, and is a fun alternative for date night dressing. I styled it with simple black accessories and my favourite gold jewellery, but I think it would look equally as strong paired with sneakers and a denim jacket, or flat sandals and a straw tote bag. How would you wear it?

Do you follow the “one touch” rule during the summer? And what do you make of this La Redoute look? Leave a comment below or tweet me at @cocosteaparty…
