AD: paid partnership | I feel like I need to start this post by congratulating everyone for making it through January. We’re now into the home stretch, with just a few days remaining! (Apologies to any January babies reading this. But, let’s be honest, it’s a really tough month to get through. February isn’t much better, but at least it goes by in a flash).
And now that the end of winter is somewhat in sight – and the January paycheques have finally arrived – it’s the perfect time to start thinking about new season home decor updates. Because nothing lifts the spirits quite like a stylish new home accessory, right?
During the depths of winter I crave bright colours and cheerful prints. And, as luck would have it, the Sainsbury’s Home spring 2019 collection is bursting with both. I’ve teamed up with the brand to showcase some of my new season favourites, so read on to see my kitchen, living room and home office edit…
Longtime readers of the blog (and anyone who listens to the Let’s Discuss podcast) will know that Sainsbury’s Home is one of my favourite home decor brands. They deliver such great value for money – combing supermarket prices with dependable quality and design-lead detailing. And when I moved into my flat I purchased the bulk of my kitchen accessories from Sainsbury’s Home.
This spring I’m welcoming a few new additions to my collection – including their multipack of colourful kitchen knives. They bring a welcome pop of colour to the space, and I love the fact the aqua knife matches my kitchen tiles!
How cute are these little faux succulents? They’ve brought a welcome dose of personality to my kitchen counters, which are otherwise filled with boring items like the toaster, kettle and microwave.
Kitchen products featured: Oriental 3 Pack Knives | Succulents in Cement Pot | Wooden chopping board | Stockholm Spring Napkins | Oriental Medium Bowl all at Sainsbury’s Home (in stores now)
The in-house design team at Sainsbury’s Home are constantly travelling around the globe collecting inspiration for their collections. And the spring 2019 line is divided into 7 key stories – Botanist, Coastline, Drury Lane, Everyday Luxury, Global Monochrome, Oriental and Stockholm Spring.
I gravitated towards the Global Monochrome and Stockholm Spring product lines, and the latter is what you see in these living room snaps.
And, before you ask: yes, this breakfast tray is also from Sainsbury’s Home. It’s a total bargain at £32! I love the minimalist design and have really enjoyed using it for leisurely weekend breakfasts in front of the TV.
I’ve been spending a LOT of time hibernating at home, this winter. But these beautiful Sainsbury’s Home designs are able to trick my mind into thinking spring has arrived. I just pop on an episode of Grace & Frankie, turn up the thermostat and pretend it’s already April!

My home office area is a bit of a work-in-progress at the moment, and I really need to KonMari the space (I hoard stationery supplies).
But, until I find the motivation to clear through all of the mess, I’m trying to at least bring a sense of order to my desk space. And these colourful wooden storage drawers were just what I needed! They’re the perfect size to hide stationery, computer cables, my external hard drive, important paperwork and other miscellaneous items. They’d also be great for makeup and jewellery!
