I’m having a hard time accepting the fact that summer is starting to draw to a close. Yes, it may only be the beginning of August, but the “back to school” adverts have already started playing on TV, and the fall collections are trickling into stores. It makes me very sad indeed!
If you’re also struggling to say goodbye to summer, this week’s shopping edit is for you. I’ve handpicked a selection of warm weather buys that also have a trans-seasonal quality (minus the sunhat, of course). You can enjoy wearing them throughout August and also into September and October.
This gingham dress from H&M is currently sitting at the top of my wish list. I’d pair it with tan sandals and a straw sunhat for a picnic in the countryside, and Givenchy’s studded flats and Radley’s leather handbag for a day in the city. I’m also struggling to resist J.Crew’s ruffle chino jacket (it would love great layered over a white summer dress), and River Island’s embroidered smock top.
Plus, I have some great news for beauty junkies… Did you know that Dr.Jart+ is now available at Selfridges? The Korean skincare line has been hard to access in the UK over recent years (my friends and I always stock up at Sephora when we visit the States), so I’m very excited about this! If you haven’t tried Dr.Jart+ products before I suggest starting with the iconic Ceramidin Cream. I adore the Ceramidin Cream Day Tint, which sadly hasn’t arrived at Selfridges yet, but I’m hoping it’s only a matter of time…
Are you also pleased to hear Dr.Jart+ is now available at Selfridges? And how would you style the gingham dress from H&M?
