There’s been lots of talk lately about the purpose of fashion week, and whether it still makes sense to present spring/summer collections in September. This season many brands (including Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Tom Ford and Thakoon) switched to a see-now-buy-now model and presented their AW16 collections instead of SS17.

So fashion week has become quite confusing. The one thing you can still rely on, however, is great street style. And the London shows provided plenty of outfit inspiration. I spotted lots of ruffles, midi dresses, delicate piercings and straight leg jeans on the front rows.

To get the look head to Astley Clarke for single stud earrings (I love the lightning bolt and evil eye), and GAP for vintage-inspired denim. I’ve been wearing their original 1969 straight jeans on repeat, and they are so easy to style. Warehouse has also been getting a lot of love from the fash pack recently. They’ve just undergone a bit of a rebrand, and their fall collection is insanely covetable! I can’t wait to get my hands on their electric blue midi…
