My Style: The SS14 Trend Challenge With Citizen Watches

DRIVE from Citizen Watch Cocos Tea Party SS14 2

Every year, as the summer approaches, I start longing for a revival of Sienna Miller’s infamous boho-infused wardrobe of 2004. It was a truly glorious moment in celebrity fashion, and has left me with a weakness for free-spirited bohemian outfits. But it’s hard to dress “boho-chic” in the city without looking (and feeling) like a complete moron. So when Citizen watches challenged me to take part in their Spring/Summer trend guide I knew exactly what style I wanted to focus on… boho with a city-slick twist.

I selected my favourite watch from the new DRIVE from Citizen collection – a rose gold design with a gorgeous azure blue face – and built a trend-led outfit around it. I’m a little bit obsessed with skorts at the moment, as I mentioned last week, so I selected a black pair from ASOS to act as my SS14 trend-hook…

Accessories are always my big spend items, as they tend to be the pieces I cherish forever. So, along with the beautiful rose gold DRIVE from Citizen watch (£199) and ASOS skort, I invested in a pair of Isabel Marant ‘Dicker’ boots, Mango’s embroidered smock and a metallic Kurt Geiger clutch bag.

Let me know if you rate this look and make sure you check back in next week, because I have another rose gold DRIVE from Citizen watch to give away…

While I would never wear the blouse personally (just not my style), I love how you pulled the whole look together. I’d have never though to put the boots with the skort but surprisingly enough the color combo looks super chic to me.

I’m so excited by these boots, and think I’ll be wearing them with just about everything this summer!

Love the look, chic boho is so hard to pull off without looking slightly bag lady. Nice job, Ella. (Although I now want that top!)

    • cocos_tea_party

      Haha, thanks Abby!

  • Awesome blouse! I love your boho chic outfit!

  • Maz

I love your look! My pair of skorts are quite short so I can’t wear them bare legged! And your outfit post totally inspired our mate L to buy a pair of Isabel Marant boots! X

    • cocos_tea_party

Haha I know, she messaged me like ‘should I get them?’ and then 5 mins later had ordered a pair. Wastes no time!

Fab look, definitely grown-up boho. Love the pop of colour on the watch face, the perfect colour for summer x

Like the watch, top, skort but those boots hanging on the end of those skinny legs are horrendous

Everyone has different tastes, some like these boots, some like the top, some love the skirt, Personally I think if you look as good as this girl in the photo, anything she wears will look good on her. To portray this type of outfit for the general public of which 60% are obese is absolutely daft, As for girls who look as good as this one, they do not need to be told what is fashionable since they must have already decided what they like to wear. Most people base their outfits on Cost and how they look in them, I can put a couple of sheets on me and claim it’s the new trend, a lot of idiots will soon copy me and imagine they are up to date with fashion. Every day some new idea is portrayed as chic.
Whether you love or hate this type of article makes no difference, but to those who promote them in order to make money, probably never dream of wearing anything that they portray especially if it was done to simply please the sponsors. That’s business!!!!!!

Looks like the sort of thing your average slapper would wear.
    It allows easy access.
Should be very popular in Essex…
