I don’t need to tell you that coordinating items are hot property right now. You’re probably wearing a pair of jazzy co-ords as we speak. But what you may not realise is the fact they’re set to stick around right into summer 2015 – which makes them a very smart purchase. The Resort ’15 collections are currently being unveiled, and I’ve already spotted a selection of matching sets, like Tibi’s stiped design [pictured above].
Resort/Cruise/Pre-Spring/whatever the hell you want to call it always provides a few clues as to what we can expect from the Spring/Summer ready-to-wear collections. So if co-ords are popping up in the mid-season drops it’s safe to assume they’ll also be back on the runways come September.
Which means the moral of the story is this… Snap up as many co-ords as you can this summer (it’s a perfect excuse to hit the sales); wear them as a set until late September; separate them over A/W; then reunite them as the trend heats up again in spring 2015.You’re sure to get your money’s worth!
Topshop seems like the natural place to go for co-ords, but their sets are selling out at the speed of lightning, and it’s impossible to find a design where both the top and bottom is still in stock. So I’d suggest heading to Oasis instead. They have a really impressive selection of matchy-matchy designs in store right now. The marble effect pencil skit and shell top is my personal favourite!
Are you a fan of co-ords? Is it a trend you’ve been championing this season? If so which brands are you buying from?
