Clothes I Want to Wear: The Entire Chloé Resort 2014 Collection

When I first started writing Coco’s Tea Party in 2006 almost half of my content focused on Phoebe Philo’s last collection at Chloé (the other 50% was dedicated to the Olsens and “the Zoebots”). Like every fashion-obsessed girl at the time I adored Philo’s vision at Chloé, and when she left the French fashion house I was devastated. Since then my relationship with Chloé has changed significantly; I still enjoy the collections each season, but don’t find myself yearning for the key pieces like I used to. But if the Resort 2014 line is anything to go by, this is all about to change. Clare Waight Keller has been doing brilliant things since she became creative director, and I’m not exaggerating when I say I want to wear the entire Chloe Resort 2014 collection! It really is that good…

I love the oversized proportions, the soft tailoring (especially the eggplant white sleeveless waistcoat), the fuss-free day dresses and the relaxed elegance of the floor-length evening gowns. I’m even coveting the mustard yellow raincoat – and that’s not something I ever thought I’d be into! Picking out six highlights from the collection was a real struggle, so if you haven’t already seen the entire collection I suggest you head over to right now. Because this edit is just the tip of the iceberg!

And if the Spring/Summer 2014 collection has a similar vibe to Resort, Coco’s Tea Party could soon be 50% Chloé yet again…

Do you like the Chloe Resort 2014 collection? Has Clare Waight Keller got you back into a Chloé mood? Let me know.
