Victoria Beckham Loves Pointed-Toe Pumps. Here Are Three Pairs She Should Add to Her Collection

Last week Victoria Beckham was back in London for the International Woolmark Prize Final, which she judged alongside Donatella Versace, Natalie Massenet, Diane von Furstenberg and Franca Sozzani. To mark the occasion Victoria wore a design from her Autumn/Winter 2013 collection and a pair of pointed-toe Manolo Blahnik pumps. It was an incredibly chic look, and I’ve been thinking about the black and purple ankle-strap heels ever since. Victoria loves a classic, pointed-toe pump, and I’ve tracked down three more statement styles which would look great in her collection…

Victoria Beckham should own the… 1. Pour La Victoire’s strappy salmon pink pumps // 2. Nicholas Kirkwood’s metallic blue suede and leather heels // 3. Isa Tapia’s statement kitten heels

I’ve chosen three eye-catching designs, which would look great paired with Victoria’s favourite black dresses. The Isa Tapia pumps might even be special enough to tempt VB into kitten heels – although I wouldn’t bet on it!

Do you also love a pointed-toe pump? Which of the above styles are your favourites? Let me know…

Five of the Best Low Heels for Autumn/Winter 2012

Call them whatever you want – kitten heels, low heels, demi heels, baby heels – just make sure you’re wearing a pair this season. They’re the “It’ shoes for Fall 2012. Loved by fashion editors (just check out the September issues for proof), adored by celebrities (Alexa Chung and Kate Bosworth have both been spotted in low heels) and championed by the high street (ASOS and Topshop have jumped on the trend), the kitten heel is making a comeback and there’s a style for everyone. Check out five of the best, from mini stilettos to baby block heels, below…

Shop The Edit (from top): Multi colour buckle courts, £160 at Kurt Geiger | Print leather slingbacks, £475 by Nicholas Kirkwood | Metal block red flats, £26 at ASOS | Black suede slingbacks, £735 by Yves Saint Laurent | Off white kitten heels, £70 at Topshop

If you’re blessed with slim ankles and long (or long-ish) legs you can wear kitten heels with just about anything. Try pairing them with below-the-knee skirts to master two A/W trends at once. And for a failsafe “suits everyone” style chose a pair of slip-on low heels (without ankle straps) and wear with cropped trousers. It’s an unbelievably chic look…

Do you plan to wear low heels this Autumn/Winter? Which styles do you have your eyes on?

SHOP THE EDIT:
All I want to do right now is shop. The Net-A-Porter US summer sale has started (I’m very jealous) and almost every store is lined with great new products. Take Topshop’s camouflage knit, for example, which would look great with Nicholas Kirkwood’s zig-zag sandals and a pair of cropped skinny trousers. Or if that’s not your cup of tea how about Chinti and Parker’s adorable striped skirt? It’s a great piece for summer but will also take you through into Autumn.

Christmas Cards From The Fash Pack

With Christmas just days away my inbox is starting to fill up with festive ecards instead of the usual press releases. The latest came from the Nicholas Kirkwood team, and features a special pair of Christmas shoes, which are currently on display in the window of Kirkwood’s Mount Street boutique. If you don’t have time to visit the store before Christmas you can see Nicholas Kirkwood’s Christmas card below, along with a few more of my favourites.

Nicholas Kirkwood is King of the LFW Catwalk

What better way to enter the weekend than with a shoe post. Regular readers will know that I absolutely adore shoe designer Nicholas Kirkwood (to the point that I have to be pulled away from his displays at Harvey Nichols and Selfridges), and I know many of you are also massive fans. As well as working on his successful namesake line and designing for Pollini, Kirkwood found the time to collaborate with some of London’s key talents for Spring/Summer 2012. His shoes popped up in five collections, ranging from the OTT styles at Meadham Kirchhoff to the ladylike pumps at Roksanda Ilincic. Here’s a run-down of his LFW designs:
My personal favourites are the Erdem and Roksanda heels, as I’m currently going through a dainty/feminine shoe moment. Which are your favourites?

Thank God They’re Not Clogs

Ever since Karl Lagerfeld sent clogs onto the S/S Chanel runway the clumpy little wooden shoes have been unavoidable. Personally I don’t dislike them on others – I’ve seen some women dressed brilliantly in clogs – but I don’t want to wear a pair myself. Thankfully three of Hollywood’s best dressed ladies have developed shoe obsessions of their own, giving us lots of alternative styles to swoon over…

Sarah Jessica Parker and the Extreme Heel: SJP took these gorgeous Kirkwood heels everywhere with her as she promoted SATC2. Though they make enough of a statement on their own Sarah bravely paired them with animal prints and a look from the Proenza Schouler Fall collection.

Rachel Bilson and the Nude Wedge: Even those with little interest in fashion know that nude is a huge colour trend right now, and Rachel gets in on the look with these Rag & Bone ‘Victoria’ wedges. They stand out beautifully against Rachel’s black tights but I think they’d look just as good with bare legs.

Diane Kruger and the Investment Shoe: I don’t know a single woman who doesn’t adore Lanvin, so any piece from the collection is a great investment. Diane clearly loves her ‘Sunbeam’ heels, as she not only has the snakeskin pair but also invested in the black pair, which she wore to the National Movie Awards. The chain detail is very chic.
