The MICHAEL Michael Kors Selma handbag was by my side for most of 2013. It’s a great size, perfect for travel (there are lots of practical little pockets inside), and at £350 it’s pretty reasonable in price when you compare it to other designer bags. If you’re looking for an end-of-year treat Selma should be your go-to gal! But if all your money is going towards Christmas presents right now I have good news: I’ve found a lookalike tote on the high street for £35…
I attended my first Halloween party of the year earlier in the week, which happened to fall on the same day as some important meetings. As I wouldn’t have time to change in-between the two, my outfit had to work for both occasions, which presented a challenge. Magazines are always showing us how to take our looks “from day to night” but there are never any “from business meeting to Halloween party” tutorials – so I on my own with this one!
Deciding to play it safe on the Halloween front, I stuck to a black and orange colour palette, layering a faux fur gilet over my favourite leather jacket. A witches hat and broom really would have completed the outfit, but to keep it W1-appropriate I opted for my studded MICHAEL Michael Kors ankle boots and the L.K. Bennett ‘Rosamund’ handbag instead…

You know you’re spending way too much time on Pinterest when you start looking forward to the weekend simply because you want to bake mini pumpkin pie slice cookies. Seriously, when did I become so twee?! But in my defence it’s hard to resist the allure of these three pumpkin pie recipes. They just look so damn tasty! Find the recipes below and let me know how you get on if you bake them this weekend…

Leopard slip ons by Topshop | 6. Oversized coat by Roksanda Ilincic at The Outnet | 7. Animal print trousers by River Island
Last week I bought a pair of River Island’s animal print slouchy trousers, which I now can’t be separated from. They’re so comfy and something about them reminds me of Joey’s Thanksgiving pants* in Friends. At the moment I’m wearing them with basic tank tops, but once the weather cools down I think they’ll also look good with a leather jacket and a pair of Converse All Stars. Very off-duty-backing-dancer (at least in my mind).
Anyway, this week I’m also loving ASOS’ camouflage print denim skirt. It’s another recent addition to my wardrobe, and makes a nice change from classic frayed jean skirts. The Meredith Wendell colourblock backpack is high on my wishlist, as well, along with Roksanda Ilincic’s oversized wool-crepe coat.
What items are you loving this week? Have any of the designs on my wishlist caught your attention? Let me know…
* the Thanksgiving pants were actually Phoebe’s elasticated maternity trousers to begin with, but what does it matter?
For the last two weeks I’ve pretty much been wearing this exact outfit, or slight variations on the look. I’ve accidentally become like one of The Simpsons, whereby I just wear the same thing every single day. The grey TEXTILE Elizabeth and James jeans are perfect for summer and the fact they’re named ‘Cooper’ makes me like them even more, because, well… I love Bradley Cooper! You should always wear your heart on your skinny jeans (a fashion rule to live by).
The zebra print fine knit sweater from Denim & Supply Ralph Lauren‘s summer collection is another style obsession. As you all know, I suck at layering, so this lightweight design is perfect as it requires no effort whatsoever. I adore it!

As for accessories, I’ve been having fun matching the Michael Kors Selma handbag to my lipstick, and as there’s been a distinct lack of sunshine so far this summer I’ve taken to wearing my Tom Ford sunglasses on my head. It would be a shame not to wear them at all, so a headband they shall become…
