Last week I had the pleasure of attending the first day of Wireless festival, in London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with 2ND DAY‘s UK PR team and a fabulous group of online journalists. It was the first time I’d been out of the house properly in over a week (I was in a car accident just over 10 days ago, so have been dosed up on painkillers for a while), and I was seriously excited to get out and enjoy the sunshine.
Justin Timberlake (aka my teenage obsession) was headlining, and Snoop Dogg, Frank Ocean, John Legend and Ke$ha were also on the line-up. And as this was my first ever festival experience I tried to keep my outfit simple, hoping to avoid any major festival fashion disasters. Here’s a look at what I wore…
Naturally we all dressed in 2ND DAY’s summer collection. I chose to wear a simple grey T-shirt dress, a draped sequin waistcoat (now 50% off) and a comfy pair of bright blue Puma sneakers. The talented assistants and interns at Varg PR also created floral headdresses for everyone to wear. Not only were they absolutely beautiful (attracting equal amounts of attention from humans and bumble bees!), but they also turned out to be really useful, as if anyone got separated from the group they just looked for the flowers.
And the Cambridge Satchel Company handbag in the photo above isn’t actually mine – it belongs to Nat at Cosmo – but I did instantly fall for its metallic purple-y charms. I can’t find the exact style online, but if you want something similar hit up ASOS for more of their designs.
