Style Star: Kate Moss {Get The Look}

For the majority of my teenage years Kate Moss was my ultimate style icon. I had a fashion scrapbook which was filled with images of Kate leaving nightclubs, strolling around Primrose Hill and stomping through muddy fields at Glastonbury. To me she was the coolest. Pete Doherty and the “Cocaine Kate” scandal didn’t matter, because I was only interested in what she was wearing. Remember the vintage yellow dress? The pansy print Topshop tea dress? The skinny jeans and black ballet pumps? They were her greatest hits and continue to inspire today…

Over recent years Kate’s selling power has started to fade a little (possibly because every celebrity on the planet now dresses like her), but I had so much fun putting this post together. When it comes to cool, effortless street style there really isn’t anybody else out there like Kate Moss! And if you want a bit of Mossy magic in your wardrobe stick to her simple style formula: jeans should be skinny or high-waisted with a flared leg, accessories must always be minimal and classic, tailoring is worth the extra investment, and a pair of oversized sunglasses can pull any outfit together.

Kate Moss, Lara Stone & Natalia Vodianova Cover W Magazine’s March Issue – Which Cover is Your Favourite?

W magazine has come up with a great way to boost newsstand sales, this month: give three hot supermodels their own gorgeous cover, so that the indecisive fashion-obsessed end up buying the March 2013 issue three times. Smart move. Kate Moss, Lara Stone and Natalia Vodianova were each photographed by Mert & Marcus, posing in sultry jewel tones by Prada, Saint Laurent and Burberry Prorsum. Take a look all three W covers and see if you can pick a favourite…

Kate Moss Lara Stone Natalia Vodianova W magazine cover March 2013

For me I think it’s got to be Kate Moss, on this occasion, but it was a pretty close call between her and Natalia. Although I “get” the Lara Stone cover I’m kind of turned-off by the ribbon. Do you feel the same? Which cover is your favourite?

Kate Moss Covers LOVE Magazine’s Spring 2013 Issue in the Bathtub

The Spring/Summer 2013 issue of LOVE magazine has just been released and Kate Moss is on the cover. The 39-year-old supermodel posed knicker-less in a bathtub for Mert & Marcus, resulting in one seriously eye-catching cover. Cara Delevingne and Chloë Moretz were also photographed in the bathtub set-up, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few more LOVE covers to come. After all, Katie Grand does love a double/tripple/quadruple cover…

Kate Moss Covers Vogue España December 2012

Kate Moss is ending the year on a high with this fabulous Vogue España December 2012 cover. Mario Testino photographed the 38-year-old model for the Spanish glossy, and it’s easily one of my favourite covers from the entire year. When Kate and Mario get it right they get it very right indeed! I may actually buy Vogue España for the first time ever, this month. The cover is so beautiful I’d consider framing it…

And in other Moss news, the 38-year-old model is currently promoting Kate: The Kate Moss Book. The hardcover fashion book was put together by Kate herself, and documents some of the key moments in her modelling career, with photos by Testino, Corinne Day and Mert & Marcus. It’s available on Amazon.

Do you like Kate Moss’ Vogue España cover? Is it one of your favourite fashion covers from 2012 too?

Kate Moss Covers Vanity Fair, Talks Johnny Depp Romance

It’s the story everyone is talking about today – well, everyone in fashion, at least. Kate Moss covers the December 2012 issue of Vanity Fair and gives a very candid interview, where she discusses everything from her early days as a model to her three-year-relationship with Johnny Depp. The 38-year-old said:

“There’s nobody that’s ever really been able to take care of me. Johnny did for a bit. I believed what he said. Like if I said: ‘What do I do?’ – he’d tell me. And that’s what I missed when I left. I really lost that gauge of somebody I could trust. It was a nightmare – years and years of crying. Oh, the tears.”

Kate Moss was photographed for the magazine by her good friends, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, so the accompanying editorial is sure to be as exciting as her revealing interview. You can read more of Kate’s exclusive interview with VF at vanityfair.com right now. It’s one profile you don’t want to miss!

The Front Row at Mulberry’s Spring/Summer 2013 Show

We’re literally going from one celeb-packed front row to another here… This morning Mulberry showed their Spring/Summer 2013 collection inside the Ballroom at Claridge’s hotel, and their front row was bursting with famous faces. There were British style icons (Kate Moss), national treasures (olympian, Jessica Ennis), Mulberry pin-ups (Alexa Chung and Lana Del Rey), and some front row regulars (Olivia Palermo). Check out all of their front row outfits right here…

Kate and Alexa – I’m guessing they were laughing at the poodle who walked the runway
I’m struggling to pick a favourite outfit, so I’m going to break it down into sections: Alexa had the best hair, Olivia the coolest knit, Kate’s Mulberry Willow bag (it’s the new style for SS13) was a winner, and Alexa also wore the prettiest shoes. See more pictures after the jump…

Were you impressed by Mulberry‘s S/S 2013 front row? Which guest was your best dressed?
