Jessica Alba Redefines Yummy Mummy Style in InStyle USA

Jessica Alba InStyle US February 2013 shoot

Like many young mothers in Hollywood Jessica Alba has turned babies into big business. She co-founded The Honest Company, which sells non-toxic premium plant-based disposable diapers (amongst many other glamorous items), and is regularly papped out and about with her adorable daughters, Honor and Haven. For her InStyle US February cover shoot Jessica plays up her yummy mummy image, posing in a sea of stuffed animals, building blocks and plastic dinosaurs. I really like the editorial so couldn’t resist sharing my favourite shots with you. Take a look…

Jessica Alba and Jessica Chastain Cover InStyle in the Same Dior Skirt – Which Cover Do You Prefer?

The editors at InStyle really liked Raf Simons’ debut ready-to-wear collection for Christian Dior. How can I tell? Because the floral duchesse satin skirts appear on both the US and UK edition’s February 2013 covers. Jessica Chastain – who covers the UK edition of InStyle in Exit 52 – is currently promoting Zero Dark Thirty, whilst Jessica Alba – modelling Exit 53 for InStyle US – is, I assume, promoting her how-to book, The Honest Life.

The cover looks are virtually the same, but I’m still curious to know which you prefer: Alba in the yellow and pink design or Chastain in the white and pink skirt? For me it’s got to be Jessica Chastain’s InStyle UK cover! Do you agree?

Jessica Alba Wears Salvatore Ferragamo’s Scarf Top

At the beginning of the season everyone was raving about scarf prints – specifically those in D&G’s final collection – but the trend hasn’t really translated onto the red carpet. Thankfully Jessica Alba decided to rock the look before the Fall 2012 collections take over, wearing a scarf print Salvatore Ferragamo top to the Giffoni Film Festival, over the weekend. The hot pink design added some much needed glamour to Jessica’s tailored pants and wedge sandals.
Jessica was in Italy to receive a Giffoni Award, and wore the strapless Ferragamo top to the film festival’s press conference. Earlier in the day she shared her outfit (complete with a matching silk headscarf and oversized shades) on Instagram, writing, “Channeling Jackie O.”

Are you a fan of Jessica Alba’s Salvatore Ferragamo look? Do you like the scarf print trend?

FYI: Jessica also wore Salvatore Ferragamo to accept her Giffoni Award. See her look HERE.

Jessica Alba & Lea Michele Attend the Atelier Versace Fall 2012 Show

Versace opened Paris Haute Couture week in style, last night, showing their Autumn/Winter 2012 Atelier Versace collection at the Ritz. The famous hotel was Gianni Versace’s favourite venue for couture, so it was a natural fit for Atelier Versace’s return to the runway. As with any Versace show the front row was packed full of famous faces: Elizabeth Banks, M.I.A, Pierce Brosnan, Christina Hendricks, Fan Bingbing, Jessica Alba and Lea Michele. The two LA ladies worked contrasting looks – studded leather vs a demure fitted dress. Which is your favourite?
Which look do you prefer: Jessica Alba in a leather LBD or Lea Michele in zesty orange?

See the Atelier Versace collection in full HERE and check out the front row gallery HERE.

What do you make of Jessica Alba and Lea Michele’s front row style? Which look got your vote? And do you think we’ll see either of them at the Christian Dior show today?

Jessica Alba Wears a Little White Dress in Beijing

Jessica Alba spent the weekend in Beijing, where she celebrated the opening of Montblanc’s biggest ever concept store. Jessica chose a white Narciso Rodriguez dress for the ocassion and accessorised with Montblanc jewellery. This is definitely one of my favourite looks from Jessica so far this year – it’s simple and elegant but still makes a bold statement.

Do you also rate Jessica’s little white dress? Is she still one of your red carpet favourites?

Jessica Alba Covers Marie Claire US June 2012

Fresh from the Met Gala Jessica Alba headed to the Annual Outstanding Mothers Awards in New York (this event actually exists?!) where she caught up with Marie Claire’s fashion director, Nina Garcia. Jessica and Nina should know each other pretty well by now, as Jessica covers the June 2012 issue of Marie Claire US.

So far only a tiny preview of the cover has been released online, but Jessica just tweeted a photo of herself and Nina posing with the new issue, writing, “Be sure to pick up this months @MarieClaire? Look ma it’s me!”

I really like the look of Jessica’s latest Marie Claire cover. Although I’m not sure that the Autumn/Winter 2012 collection Versus dress is perfect for June. But Jess certainly looks gorge!

Do you like the look of Jessica Alba’s latest Marie Claire cover? Will you buy the new issue?
