Selena Gomez Rocks Head-to-Toe Kenzo Print in InStyle US

Selena Gomez has been booking a lot of cover shoots lately. Her on/off relationship with Justin Bieber, upcoming album release and stunning looks are obviously too much for the glossies to resist! The 20-year-old star’s most recent cover is the June 2013 issue of InStyle US, which is on newsstands now. My favourite image shows Selena modelling a printed Kenzo top and matching trousers. The style is absolutely perfect for her, as it’s bold and grown-up without looking too risque. I’m pretty sure Selena is keen to keep her squeaky-clean image, so playful prints should become her go-to look.

Selena Gomez Kenzo

But unfortunately Selena Gomez exclusively told InStyle the Kenzo design isn’t something she’d normally wear. “I never do prints in my personal style or on red carpets, so I thought it would be fun for me to do prints for this,” she explained. “I always like to change it up for different photoshoots.”

Personally I think Selena is missing a trick here, as she clearly looks brilliant in head-to-toe print. Hopefully she’ll give the trend another go, and if so I think the following all-in-ones would be a good starting point…

Jumpsuit Shop the Edit: 1. Left print jumpsuit by Topshop | 2. Tropical print top and matching trousers by Whistles | 3. Floral print jumpsuit by Sophie Hulme | 4. Tapered jumpsuit by ASOS Africa

And, in semi-related news, have you seen the hilarious Selena Gomez/Taylor Swift/Justin Beiber GIF from the Billboard Music Awards yet? Basically Justin leans in to kiss Selena on the cheek and Taylor sticks out her tongue and makes a totally priceless ‘eeew’ face. See it here. I have the same reaction to Beiber, so this made me love Taylor even more…

The “Oz: The Great and Powerful” Cast Cover InStyle US, March 2013

Mila Kunis Michelle Williams rachel weisz InStyle March cover InStyle USA have really gone to town with their March 2013 issue, shooting three stylish actresses for the cover. The stars of Disney’s upcoming fantasy-movie, Oz: The Great and Powerful, were photographed for the magazine in an array of spring’s prettiest pastel frocks.

Rachel Weisz models a lace Valentino gown, Mila Kunis is dressed in a baby blue pleats and Michelle Williams takes centre stage in a romantic pale pink draped dress. The complementary cover looks work so well that I’m now curious to see if the trio of stars continue to go for similar styles on the red carpet. I do hope so!

The Wizard of Oz prequel hits cinemas on March 8th and I’d be surprised if Disney don’t give it a big promotional push. If we’re lucky we should get at least three separate premieres – amounting to nine different red carpet looks. It’s shaping up to be a fashionista’s dream, as the cast’s fabulous costumes are already causing a stir. Do you like InStyle‘s March 2013 cover? Will you buy this issue?

Jessica Alba Redefines Yummy Mummy Style in InStyle USA

Jessica Alba InStyle US February 2013 shoot

Like many young mothers in Hollywood Jessica Alba has turned babies into big business. She co-founded The Honest Company, which sells non-toxic premium plant-based disposable diapers (amongst many other glamorous items), and is regularly papped out and about with her adorable daughters, Honor and Haven. For her InStyle US February cover shoot Jessica plays up her yummy mummy image, posing in a sea of stuffed animals, building blocks and plastic dinosaurs. I really like the editorial so couldn’t resist sharing my favourite shots with you. Take a look…

Jessica Alba and Jessica Chastain Cover InStyle in the Same Dior Skirt – Which Cover Do You Prefer?

jessica chastain alba instyle february 2013 dior skirt

The editors at InStyle really liked Raf Simons’ debut ready-to-wear collection for Christian Dior. How can I tell? Because the floral duchesse satin skirts appear on both the US and UK edition’s February 2013 covers. Jessica Chastain – who covers the UK edition of InStyle in Exit 52 – is currently promoting Zero Dark Thirty, whilst Jessica Alba – modelling Exit 53 for InStyle US – is, I assume, promoting her how-to book, The Honest Life.

The cover looks are virtually the same, but I’m still curious to know which you prefer: Alba in the yellow and pink design or Chastain in the white and pink skirt? For me it’s got to be Jessica Chastain’s InStyle UK cover! Do you agree?

Dakota Fanning Covers InStyle UK’s December 2012 Issue

Dakota Fanning twiddles her hair on the December 2012 cover of InStyle UK. The 18-year-old actress is currently promoting the final Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn – Part 2, and I must say it makes a nice change from seeing KStew and Ashley Greene on all the covers. Dakota is wearing Chanel Resort 2013.

Speaking to InStyle about the Kristen Stewart cheating scandal, Dakota said: “Everyone thinks they have the right to, you know, publicise the struggles and sadness and heartbreak and all of that. It’s like, ‘Why do you think you are the authority to judge people’s experiences?’”

I can’t wait to see the accompanying editorial, as I love Dakota’s cover. I’m definitely buying this issue! It hits newsstands on November 8th, and you can watch the behind-the-scenes video HERE.

Are you pleased to see Dakota Fanning on the cover of InStyle UK? Will you buy the December issue?

Gwyneth Paltrow Covers InStyle US in a DVF Jumpsuit

Gwyneth Paltrow covers the October 2012 issue of InStyle US, modelling a berry-coloured jumpsuit by Diane von Furstenberg. This is definitely one of my favourite Gwyneth covers in recent years, as it’s a little bit playful but still in-keeping with the 39-year-old’s sophisticated style. I can even live with the dreaded armpit pose, and that’s usually a deal-breaker for me…

Gwyneth’s latest movie, Thanks for Sharing, has just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, so I’m pretty sure that’s what she’s promoting in InStyle. Instead of speaking to an InStyle journalist, Gwyneth was actually interviewed by Diane von Furstenberg. Speaking about her much-analyised diet Gwyneth revealed:

“I was very strict for a while. I was macrobiotic for a couple of years, then I got pregnant and just ate ice cream. What I’ve learned is I want to enjoy my life, and food is a big part of it. I love to cook and feed people. I cook every day. I indulge but I don’t like sweets. My indulging is a fresh baguette with cheese and a glass of red wine or French fries and fried zucchini. Or a turkey burger.”

Thanks to Gwyneth I now want cheese and a baguette, followed by a turkey burger. And it’s not even 8.30am. You can see more from Gwyneth’s interview and editorial at InStyle.com.

Do you like Gwyneth Paltrow’s InStyle US cover? Are you surprised to see her in a jumpsuit?
