Twin sisters, Annette and Daniela Felder doubled the fashion fun at their Felder Felder Fall 2013 show, on Friday. The German design duo created a spectacular finale, sending a pair of models down the runway in fluffy, belted, Mongolian coats. It was a picture-perfect moment that reflected a strong Autumn/Winter collection.
The show kicked off with a cool lineup of burgundy designs – there was a slick cashwool trench coat, skinny latex pants with a rock and roll vibe, and felt bowler hats designed by Lizzie McQuade. This season Felder Felder took inspiration from photographer Sarah Moon and ’70s skateboarder, Tony Alva. When I read “skateboarder” in the shows notes I was expecting a grunge-fest, but Daniela and Annette took that rebellious spirit and created polished, wearable designs.

The Felder Felder Fall 2013 collection will also be presented virtually on the new Felder Felder website. You’ll be able to purchase all your favourite designs online, so I’ll meet you at the virtual checkout! I adore the quilted leather pencil skirt, shiny cherry red coat and navy blue bowler. They’d all make fabulous additions to my Autumn/Winter wardrobe…
