Emma Stone Gets the Juergen Teller Treatment for W Magazine

Emma Stone W magazine February 2013 Emma Stone covers the February 2013 issue of W magazine. The 24-year-old Gangster Squad star was photographed for “the movie issue” by Juergen Teller and models a strapless black bra and leather jacket. At first glance I thought it was the Maison Martin Margiela for H&M trompe l’oeil top, which looks similar.

The accompanying editorial is very stylised, so if you’re used to Emma’s polished Hollywood looks you may be a little surprised by the un-done nature of this shoot. I have to admit, it’s not my favourite look for the star, but I like the fact she’s open to trying different styling concepts.

This might be the only major cover Emma scores this year, as her next film release is the animated kid’s movie, The Croods, and then she’s off promotional duties until 2014. I’m sure it will be a welcome break for Emma, as last year was jam-packed with magazine shoots, but I’ll definitely miss her presence on the newsstand.

FYI: This is Emma’s second W cover. She was also photographed for the January 2011 issue. I don’t know about you, but I really miss her red hair. Let’s hope she dyes it again once filming ends on Spider-Man 2…

Emma Stone Talks “Writhing Around All Over Ryan Gosling’s Bed” With Glamour UK

Emma Stone Glamout UK Ryan Gosling Emma Stone covers the February 2013 issue of Glamour UK. The cover shoot is a reprint from the US edition, but it’s still worth picking up a copy, as Emma is on top form in the exclusive interview. She’s currently promoting her latest movie, Gangster Squad, where she plays Ryan Gosling’s love interest for the second time in two years. Obviously Glamour asked about Ryan (how could they not?!) and this is what Emma had to say:

“I can still remember the first time I auditioned with Ryan, for Crazy, Stupid, Love. My friends took me to the airport that night and when they asked me what I’d been doing all day, and I said that I’d be writhing around all over Ryan Gosling’s bed, they were like: ‘Right – get on that plane!’ I guess that is pretty weird to hear.”

The 24-year-old actress also spoke to the magazine about her wardrobe for Gangster Squad. The film is set in 1940′s LA, and Emma is decked out in glamorous Mary Zophres costumes. “Some of the dresses were genuine 1940′s – they just retailored them,” Emma told Glamour. “Oh, and I fit a period -seven shoe, which is always a good bit of knowledge to have.”

Gangster Squad is released on Jan 10th (UK) and Jan 11th (US). The LA premiere took place last night – Emma wore Lanvin and Ryan somehow managed to make a brown suit look good. Emma Stone Covers Vogue’s Best Dressed 2012 Edition

Emma Stone covers the 2012 edition of Vogue Best Dressed, modelling a Proenza Schouler design. The cover was photographed by Mario Testino, and although it’s not my favourite image of Emma I’m pleased to see her on the cover. She is one of my red carpet favourites, after all. US Vogue‘s 2012 best dressed list also features Jennifer Lawrence, Rooney Mara, Zoe Saldana (yay!) and Michelle Obama…

The issue hits newsstands on November 20, but you can see more from the list at Vogue.com right now.

Are you pleased to see Emma Stone on the cover of Vogue Best Dressed? Do you agree with Vogue’s best dressed list? If not who do you think deserved a mention instead? I’d love to hear your thoughts…

Emma Stone Wears Burberry Prorsum to the CFDA Awards

The 2012 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards took place in New York, last night, and the red carpet was filled with well dressed stars. It was Emma Stone who shone the brightest though – quite literally – wearing a shimmering sequin skirt and satin bodice by Burberry Prorsum. The 24-year-old actress is the latest celebrity to be spotted in the label’s S/S 2013 collection, as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley also wore a satin bodice and skirt combo, earlier this month. I think it’s such a pretty look for Emma Stone…

This year Greg Chait of The Elder Statesman picked up the Council of Fashion Designers of America and Vogue Fashion Fund title, winning $300,000 to put back into his luxury cashmere brand. One of my favourite footwear designers, Tabitha Simmons, was named runner up, alongside jewellery designer/wife of Toby, Jennifer Meyer Maguire.

And, on an unrelated note, Emma’s boyfriend, Andrew Garfield, visited The Ellen Show earlier this week and took part in a dance challenge for charity. Watch the video HERE – it’s very funny…

Do you like Emma Stone’s latest red carpet look? Are you excited to see her wearing Burberry again?

Emma Stone Covers Interview September 2012

Emma Stone covers the September 2012 issue of Interview magazine, modelling a necklace by Chanel. The 23-year-old actress posed for Mikael Jansson and was styled by Karl Temper. Emma is no stranger to magazine covers (she landed at least five major covers this summer) but this is definitely her edgiest shoot to date. It’s fierce alien chic, if there is such a thing…

Personally I prefer Emma when she’s at her best – kooky and charming – but I do think this is a fantastic cover. You can see the editorial in full on the Interview magazine website right now. Plus you can read her interview with Cameron Crowe, where she says funny things like this:

“My name is Emily Stone, but that was already taken at SAG [Screen Actors Guild]. I was 16 at the time, and I hadn’t done anything yet, so I was like, “I can be whatever I want to be. What name do I want to have?” So I went through a list of names and picked Riley. But then I had an identity crisis pretty much right after because I had a guest part on Malcolm in the Middle, and everyone kept on yelling, “Riley!” and I didn’t know who they were talking to. So I had to change my professional name to Emma, which my mom always called me.”

Do you like Emma Stone’s Interview magazine cover? What do you make of the bold styling?
