Chloë Moretz and Lea Michele Wear Highlighter Brights to the People’s Choice Awards

The 2013 People’s Choice Awards took place in LA, last night, and there were two stars that shone brightly on the red carpet: Chloë Moretz and Lea Michele. Both actresses stood out in highlighter brights, with 15-year-old Chloë opting for a neon-yellow Simone Rocha dress and Lea dazzling in a pink Elie Saab design. It was a great start to Awards Season, as we’ll be inundated with traditional red carpet gowns over the next eight weeks, and the colourful mini-dresses added an element of surprise. Something tells me we won’t be seeing any highlighter brights at the Oscars, so make the most of it while you can…

Rosamund Pike is Back and She Still Loves to Wear Yellow!

British actress Rosamund Pike is currently staring in Jack Reacher, alongside Tom Cruise. I think the last time I saw Rosamund was in An Education, which was ages ago, so I’m pleased she’s back on the red carpet. For the Jack Reacher promotional tour the 33-year-old ex-Bond Girl has stuck to her favourite colour — yellow! It’s a tricky shade to pull off, but Rosamund always wears it with ease. Remember the 2008 Oscars, when she dazzled in Roland Mouret? Well Rosamund has been sticking to her tried-and-tested yellow formula all week, wearing Alexander McQueen, Elie Saab and Emilio Pucci. Take a look:

Rosamund Pike fans will also be pleased to know she’s been photographed for the January 2013 issue of UK Vogue. However, the Vogue team have steered clear of yellow and styled her in Celine and Burberry.

Are you a fan of Rosamund Pike’s red carpet style? Which of her yellow looks is your favourite?

Four Bond Girl Worthy Spring/Summer 2013 Collections

Turn on the TV today and you’ll see someone talking about James Bond’s 50th anniversary, the most popular Bond Girls and/or Adele’s Skyfall theme song. The first James Bond movie, Dr No, hit the big screen exactly 50 years ago, so everyone’s going crazy for Bond today. Instead of doing a run-down of the best Bond Girl fashion moments (it’s a story that’s been done to death and, if I’m honest, requires too much research) I’ve decided to look to the Spring/Summer 2013 collections. What would a Bond Girl wear in SS13? I’ve narrowed it down to four key collections: Tom Ford [above], Elie Saab, J.Mendel and Gucci. All four collections featured the signature Bond Girl elements: low-cut necklines, thigh-high-slits, mega-watt glamour and tons of sex-appeal. Take a look…

Are you pleased to see Bond Girl glamour on the SS13 runways? Do you have a favourite Bond Girl or James Bond fashion moment? And are you excited about the upcoming release of Skyfall?

Zoe Saldana Wears a Gold Elie Saab Cocktail Dress

It’s been a while since we saw Zoe Saldana hit the red carpet, but the super-stylish actress was back in action, last night, at the premiere of her latest movie, The Words. The 34-year-old star chose a gold embroidered cocktail dress from Elie Saab‘s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection for the occasion. A smart move, as a gown would have been too dressy for the low-key event.
Zoe accessorised with satin pumps, a metallic clutch bag and a splash of red lipstick. Lovely! In Zoe’s latest movie, The Words, she stars alongside her ex-boyfirend, Bradley Cooper. Olivia Wilde is also on the cast list. Take a look at the trailer and see what you think…
I’m hoping we’ll see much more of Zoe Saldana, this week, as she promotes The Words and enjoys the Spring/Summer 2013 collections at New York Fashion Week. I’m sure she’ll be out on the front row to support her friend Prabal Gurung. Fingers crossed for another fabulous look!

Vote for Jessica Biel’s Best Elie Saab Moment

On Monday rumours were floating around, suggesting Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake got married over the weekend. There’s still no official word from the couple, but it’s looking unlikely (Jess is still promoting Total Recall and Justin is filming in Puerto Rico). Seeing as everyone is simply relying on speculation, I would like to speculate further, and suggest that when the Biel/Timberlake wedding does finally take place Jessica will wear an Elie Saab gown.

Since the beginning of the year Jessica has made a beeline for the label, first slipping into a lace gown for the Golden Globe awards, and then wearing a flirty mini and sequined column dress on the Total Recall promotional tour. Is she trying to give us a not-so-subtle hint here?

Which Elie Saab dress do you think Jessica Biel looks the best in?
My favourite has to be the sequined halterneck, as I prefer Jessica in simple, modern designs. Let me know which look you voted for and whether you also think she’ll marry in Elie Saab…

The Haute Couture Bridal Gowns: Chanel Vs Elie Saab

So ladies, that’s a wrap on Paris Couture Week. We’ve had newcomers (Raf Simmons at Dior), latecomers (Kim Kardashain and Kanye West held up the Stephane Rolland show by running an hour late) and walkouts (Grace Coddington reportedly got tired of waiting for the JPG show to start). In between all this drama there were plenty of show-stopping designs, and both Elie Saab and Chanel closed their Autumn/Winter 2012 collections with spectacular bridal gowns.

It’s almost impossible to pick a favourite, so I’m going to put it to a vote and let you decide…
