Drew Barrymore Covers Harper’s Bazaar US in Louis Vuitton

Drew Barrymore Harper's Bazaar March 2013 Louis Vuitton cover Drew Barrymore covers the March 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar US, modelling a chequered Louis Vuitton design. The 37-year-old actress is back in the spotlight, after taking a break, last year, to get married and have a baby. I’ve always been a big fan of Drew, so I’m happy to see her on Bazaar’s cover – especially as it’s such a great image!

There are no movie projects in the works for Drew, at the moment, but she’s currently promoting her new makeup collection, Flower. The line of beauty products has been created for Walmart and went into stores earlier this month. Speaking about the project to Harper’s Bazaar, Drew said: “It’s my crusade to help women feel good about themselves.”

You can see Drew’s Harper’s Bazaar editorial online now, and a snippet from the exclusive interview has also been released. Do you like Drew Barrymore’s March cover?

Liv Tyler, Rachel McAdams, Coco Rocha and Amanda Seyfried Cover Vs. Magazine

The Fall/Winter 2012 Vs magazine covers are here, and they feature four fabulous women. Liv Tyler was photographed by Helena Christensen, Rachel McAdams posed for Drew Barrymore, Coco Rocha was snapped by Ellen von Unwerth and Amanda Seyfried sat for Guy Aroch. All four Vs magazine covers are painted with hot pink stripes and feature the word “eccentric”.

I think Drew’s image of Rachel McAdams is the most powerful, but Liv Tyler’s cover definitely works the best (those eyes!). I’m really looking forward to seeing the accompanying editorials.

Was Rachel Zoe Inspired by Drew Barrymore’s "Never Been Kissed" Wardrobe for Resort 2013?

When I finally got a chance to check out Rachel Zoe’s Resort 2013 collection I discovered an unexpected movie reference. Rachel is the queen of Hollywood glamour, as we all know, so the last person I expected her to take inspiration from was Drew Barrymore’s socially awkward (and majorly unfashionable) character Josie Geller in Never Been Kissed. But check out this blush pink feathered ensemble – it’s a fashioned-up version of Josie Geller’s high school look.

There’s no mention of Never Been Kissed in Style.com’s collection review, so I’m guessing it wasn’t Rachel’s official inspiration, but you can’t deny the similarities. Josie is in fashion! So if you’ve never watched the 1999 romcom before you must do as soon as possible – for fashion research and because it’s amazing. Check out the rest of Rachel Zoe’s Resort collection here.
Do you think Rachel was inspired by Never Been Kissed? Would you wear the feathered look?

Drew Barrymore’s Chanel Wedding Dress Revealed

As you will know, Drew Barrymore got married to her art consultant boyfriend, Will Kopelman, over the weekend. People magazine got the exclusive photos of the wedding ceremony (of course) so now we finally get to see Drew’s Chanel wedding gown, custom designed by Karl Lagerfeld.

The traditional wedding dress features a frilled neckline, elbow-length sleeves and a slim black waistband above her growing baby bump. According to People the ceremony took place in Drew’s California home and the Hollywood star revealed, “The day was perfect. Everyone we love and care about was there. It was as fun and meaningful as we ever could have hoped.”

There’s no word yet on what Drew’s BFF Cameron Diaz wore to the wedding, but I’m hoping it’s another Chanel number! The new issue of People hits newsstands on Friday, so we don’t have long to wait. Do you like the look of Drew Barrymore’s Chanel wedding dress?

A Drew Barrymore Moment

Editorial: “Yo, Drew!”
Publication: POP, winter 2008
Photographer: Alasdair McLellan
Stylist: Sally Lyndley

I woke up this morning and thought Drew Barrymore should be on the blog. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about Drew, and seeing as she seems to be keeping a low profile at the moment (she’s all loved up with Will Kopelman) I decided to dig into the archives and pull out her POP editorial from 2008. This was Katie Grand’s last issue as editor-in-cheif of POP, and it was one of my favourites – mostly because I have a massive girl crush on Drew. And you can never go wrong with Mickey Mouse, some pom poms and a rabbit…

Once Upon a Time…

I’ve struggled with the whole concept of blogging today, my brain isn’t switched on, and I was hoping the December cover of US Vogue would come out today and give me something to write about. It didn’t. So instead I thought I’d post one of my favourite ‘vintage’ December covers, with Drew Barrymore photographed by Annie Leibovitz. But it turns out this issue was actually for April 2005. I always forget this fact. I see the princess-esque dress and the lion and everytime think it’s a December cover. Even though it says ‘The Shape Issue’ in massive writing and I know full well the shape issue comes out in April. Still, it’s beautiful anyway…

It’s very rare that US Vogue does anything outside the box with their covers. And by outside the box I mean anything that involves a wild animal, dramatic makeup or more than one person. I’m fine with this, Anna knows what sells, and the editorials are always more risque, but it does make it all the more special when Drew Barrymore snuggles up with a lion.
Fingers crossed the December cover (which will no doubt come out just after I publish this post) is as beautiful as Drew’s April cover.

Are you looking forward to the December Vogue? Who would you like to see on the cover? Ages ago I heard a Michelle Obama rumour but I’m in the dark about who it could be.
