Pink-Haired Model, Charlotte Free, Covers Flare Magazine

Charlotte Free Flare magazine cover Is 2013 set to be the year models finally make a return to magazine covers? UK Vogue have only featured models, so far this year, and now Flare magazine are getting in on the act, shooting Charlotte Free for their March cover.

Charlotte Free first came to attention at the Spring 2012 shows, when her fuchsia hair was spotted walking down a number of key runways. Since then she’s worked with H&M, ASOS, Maybelline, Forever 21 and Topshop, so it’s no surprise she’s now covering glossy magazines…

And while I have no doubt Charlotte’s modelling career will continue to go from strength-to-strength, I did roll my eyes at the “next Kate Moss” cover line. Really Flare, are we still using the “next Kate Moss” title every time there’s a hot new face on the catwalk?

All fashion clichés are easily forgiven though, as I do like the cover. It’s a cheesy pose, of course, but I love the colour scheme and styling. If you’re searching for a similar pair of striped skinny jeans check out this ASOS pair. They’re pretty similar and are only £35. Bargain!

Cara Delevingne Covers British Vogue’s March 2013 Issue

Cara Delevingne Vogue UK March cover 2013

Cara Delevingne makes her British Vogue cover debut, this month, appearing on the March 2013 issue. The 20-year-old model was photographed for the magazine by Mario Testino and says the whole experience came as a huge surprise. “It’s one of the most shocking things that has ever happened to me I think,” Cara told Vogue.co.uk. “I just stood back and had to get someone to pinch me. I was like: ‘What’s going on?’ I couldn’t believe it. It doesn’t really sink in until you actually see it, that cover, that actual magazine, Vogue – it’s so great.”

Are you pleased to see Cara Delevingne on UK Vogue’s latest cover? And are you impressed by the fact Vogue have only featured models on their cover, so far this year. We’ve had Kate Upton, Kati Nescher and now Cara. Who’s next? Maybe Jourdan Dunn… She definitely deserves the recognition!

Drew Barrymore Covers Harper’s Bazaar US in Louis Vuitton

Drew Barrymore Harper's Bazaar March 2013 Louis Vuitton cover Drew Barrymore covers the March 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar US, modelling a chequered Louis Vuitton design. The 37-year-old actress is back in the spotlight, after taking a break, last year, to get married and have a baby. I’ve always been a big fan of Drew, so I’m happy to see her on Bazaar’s cover – especially as it’s such a great image!

There are no movie projects in the works for Drew, at the moment, but she’s currently promoting her new makeup collection, Flower. The line of beauty products has been created for Walmart and went into stores earlier this month. Speaking about the project to Harper’s Bazaar, Drew said: “It’s my crusade to help women feel good about themselves.”

You can see Drew’s Harper’s Bazaar editorial online now, and a snippet from the exclusive interview has also been released. Do you like Drew Barrymore’s March cover?

Dakota Fanning Covers US Glamour’s March Issue With Curly Hair

Dakota Fanning Glamour March 2013 cover

At first glance I thought US Glamour’s March 2013 issue was covered by the star of The Carrie Diaries, but it’s actually Dakota Fanning with a perm. The 18-year-old actress was photographed for the cover by Ellen von Unwerth, and models a Marc Jacobs Mickey Mouse sweater with a sequined skirt by Jonathan Saunders. Although it’s nice to see Dakota in a different style of dress (she usually sticks with pale pastel gowns and poker-straight hair) I wish Glamour had opted for a more sophisticated cover look. The combination of ringlets and Mickey Mouse is a bit too tween-y for my liking…

Are you pleased to see Dakota Fanning on Glamour’s latest cover? What are your thoughts on her cover look?

The “Oz: The Great and Powerful” Cast Cover InStyle US, March 2013

Mila Kunis Michelle Williams rachel weisz InStyle March cover InStyle USA have really gone to town with their March 2013 issue, shooting three stylish actresses for the cover. The stars of Disney’s upcoming fantasy-movie, Oz: The Great and Powerful, were photographed for the magazine in an array of spring’s prettiest pastel frocks.

Rachel Weisz models a lace Valentino gown, Mila Kunis is dressed in a baby blue pleats and Michelle Williams takes centre stage in a romantic pale pink draped dress. The complementary cover looks work so well that I’m now curious to see if the trio of stars continue to go for similar styles on the red carpet. I do hope so!

The Wizard of Oz prequel hits cinemas on March 8th and I’d be surprised if Disney don’t give it a big promotional push. If we’re lucky we should get at least three separate premieres – amounting to nine different red carpet looks. It’s shaping up to be a fashionista’s dream, as the cast’s fabulous costumes are already causing a stir. Do you like InStyle‘s March 2013 cover? Will you buy this issue?

Miranda Kerr Covers Jalouse Magazine in Saint Laurent Spring 2013

Miranda Kerr Jalouse Magazine cover February 2013

Miranda Kerr covers the February 2013 issue of Jalouse magazine, and is clearly getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit early, clutching a red rose between her teeth. The 29-year-old Australian model wears a Saint Laurent tuxedo dress and oversized wide-brimmed hat on the cover, giving Hedi Slimane’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection yet another boost.

Something tells me Saint Laurent’s Le Smoking suits may just edge ahead of Louis Vuitton’s sixties-inspired designs, when it comes to the battle for the most magazine covers this season. However, Miranda models one of LV’s checkered maxi skirts in the accompanying Jalouse editorial, and it is still January, so the race is just getting started…

Do you like Miranda Kerr’s Jalouse cover? Would you like to see Saint Laurent’s SS13 designs on more covers?
