Chloë Moretz and Lea Michele Wear Highlighter Brights to the People’s Choice Awards

The 2013 People’s Choice Awards took place in LA, last night, and there were two stars that shone brightly on the red carpet: Chloë Moretz and Lea Michele. Both actresses stood out in highlighter brights, with 15-year-old Chloë opting for a neon-yellow Simone Rocha dress and Lea dazzling in a pink Elie Saab design. It was a great start to Awards Season, as we’ll be inundated with traditional red carpet gowns over the next eight weeks, and the colourful mini-dresses added an element of surprise. Something tells me we won’t be seeing any highlighter brights at the Oscars, so make the most of it while you can…

Chloë Moretz Models for Vogue Russia

Recognise this face? Because I was surprised to discover the model in this Vogue Russia editorial is actually 15-year-old actress Chloë Moretz. Chloë definitely shows she can hold her own in a fashion setting, modelling the likes of Valentino, Lanvin and Marc Jacobs for the May 2012 issue of Russian Vogue. The transformation is so dramatic that I doubt it will be long until Chloë Moretz is lining up more modelling jobs. Perhaps a Fall 2012 ad campaign?
The fashion industry has taken an instant like to Chloë – she’s covered LOVE magazine, is on the guest list at every fashion launch and MaxMara recently named her the “face of the future”. You can’t deny that she looks great (and is clearly working very hard) but are you comfortable seeing young actresses modelling high fashion looks? It’s the ongoing debate in fashion, so I’d love to hear your thoughts. Are you liking Chloë Moretz’s Vogue editorial?

Channeling Chloë Moretz’s Style With Metallics

It’s pretty weird to admit it, but I’m totally obsessed with Chloë Moretz’s red carpet style. She gets it right almost all of the time and keeps surprising us with her choices. Chloë’s well and truly part of the fashion circuit now and the metallic Calvin Klein Collection dress she wore to the label’s Spring Summer 2012 dinner, in New York last year, is still on my mind. Diane Kruger also wore a gold Calvin dress in 2011 and both looks have made me crave metallics.

I haven’t been able to find anything quite as fabulous as Chloë’s modern shift dress, but I was pleased to discover Miss Selfridge’s sequin bodice dress in their end-of-season sale - I fell in love with it at their press preview months ago. I’m also very tempted by Topshop’s metallic skirt, which will be great with knitwear now and grey t-shirts and masses of jewellery come spring. I shouldn’t be shopping but it’s all so shimmery I can’t resist…

Chloë Moretz Covers ASOS Magazine

I’ve never wanted to relive my teenage years but recently Chloë, Elle, Hailee and co have been making it look like so much fun. All that Chanel must do it!

Chloë Moretz covers the December 2011 issue of ASOS magazine and gives a pretty adorable interview about her style and shopping habits. Apparently she’s quite the bargain hunter, snapping up a disscounted Burberry coat recentally, as well as a Jean Paul Gaultier coat worth £3,000 for £300. I like her style!

Alex Sainsbury photographed Chloë for ASOS magazine in London and she was styled by Zeba Lowe.

My favourite quote from Chloë’s interview is about platform-heel Converse trainers:

“I’m on Tumblr all day, they always have pictures of Converse shoes with a platform on them. I found a website where you can buy them but I stopped myself because like, where would I wear them? You’d have to be on Brick Lane to get away with those.”

Would You Rather: The Miu Miu Teen Queens

I haven’t had time to read the December issue of British Vogue yet, but flicking through I noticed that 14-year-old Chloë Moretz has a feature. The Kick-Ass star was photographed for the magazine by Matt Irwin and in one image models a 1940′s inspired Miu Miu coat. A coat from the very collection that 14-year-old True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld models in the A/W 2011 ad campaign. Oh, to be 14 and have instant access to Miu Miu… Is it wrong to be totally jealous of both girls?
I think they both look gorgeous in this collection, but if I had to choose between the two images I’d go with Chloë’s shot, which I prefer ever so slightly. And as you’ve probably heard already, Hailee’s run as offical Miu Miu face appears to be over, with model Guinevere Van Seenus staring in the Resort 2012 ad campaign instead. A lot has been said about whether Miu Miu went for an older model (Guinevere is 34) because Hailee didn’t appeal to their customer base, but I think her campaign, photographed by Bruce Weber, was one of their best ever.
Anyway, the fashion industry is known to run in a circle of opposite ideas. One season it will be neon/maxi skirts/mannish shapes the next it’s pastels/mini skirts/feminine silhouettes. Using a 14-year-old model one minute and a 34-year-old the next is really no different. The Daily Mail should stop being so over dramatic
Who do you think wears the Miu Miu A/W 2011 coat the best? And if you have a spare £1,500 you can shop the look over at Net-A-Porter

Which is Your Favourite Teen Queen LOVE Cover

From left: Elle Fanning, Chloe Moretz, Hailee Steinfeld | images models.com and TFS

The sixth issue of LOVE magazine comes out today, and although there are eight different covers in total (see them all HERE) it’s the three covers staring Hollywood’s youngest and most stylish stars that are getting the most online attention. I’m still undecided about which copy to buy. I’ll definitely go for one of the above covers as, strangely, I think they’re all much stronger than the model editions. But it’s so hard to chose between Elle. Chloe and Hailee. Which is your favourite LOVE cover?

I’ll be buying…
