The Year’s Most Memorable Red Carpet Looks

The Best 2015 Red Carpet Moments 2015

First of all, where has the year gone? I know everyone always says this, but 2015 really has flown by at lightning speed! So much so, in fact, that I’ve struggled to stay up-to-date with what’s been happening on the red carpet (this will shock anyone who knows me, as it’s usually one of my favourite pastimes). It’s a case of too many events, too many dresses, too many celebrities and too little time.

Originally I had planned on going through all of the Red Carpet Fashion Awards archives and putting together a giant, well-researched Best Dressed List. But then I had another thought: if I can’t remember it was it really that great to begin with? So, with that in mind, I’ve instead focused on five of the most memorable red carpet moments from 2015 (in my opinion, of course).

Let me know if you agree with my choices and which 2015 red carpet moments still set your hearts aflutter…

Rihanna in Giambattista Valli at The GRAMMY Awards

I loved this over-the-top ballgown when it first appeared at Paris Fashion Week, and was delighted to see Rihanna wearing it days later at the GRAMMY Awards. It’s not for everybody, that’s for sure, but when I look back on 2015 it’s the one red carpet moment I’m sure to remember!

Emma Stone in Lanvin at The Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone is such a reliable red carpet presence that I can’t help wishing we saw more of her this year. She killed it at every stop on the Award Season circuit and never became predictable. My favourite look was the Lanvin jumpsuit she wore to The Golden Globes – fresh, fun and daring.

Sienna Miller in Thakoon at The Met Gala

We may not have seen that much of Emma Stone this year, but the return of Sienna Miller provided a welcome distraction. Her finest moment came at the Met Gala, where she donned a beaded Thakoon suit. It may not have screamed as loud as some of the other looks seen on the night, but it looks just as gorgeous today as it did back in May!

Reese Witherspoon in Tom Ford at the Academy Awards

Proving you don’t always have to make an attention-grabbing, fashion-forward statement to turn heads on the red carpet is Reese Witherspoon. She went for old school Hollywood glamour at this year’s Academy Awards, wearing a monochrome Tom Ford gown.

Jennifer Lawrence in Prada at The PGA Awards

You never know what you’re going to get when Jennifer Lawrence hits the red carpet. Often times her looks fall flat, but when the magic happens she really sparkles. I was blown away by her grecian Prada look at the Producers Guild of America Awards.

I am obsessed with Emma Stone’s look above! Sometimes people think that the best way to make a statement on the red carpet is to wear the most eccentric, exotic piece or dress. However, Emma’s look is the perfect example of how a simple jumpsuit can actually be the most memorable.

Agreed! I also love the fact that she doesn’t feel the need to look overly sexy all the time. The “naked dress” thing has got so predictable.
