Shopping with friends can be dangerous. I usually shop online as a solo sport, but a couple of weeks ago I was at an event with a group of bloggers and Shini from Park and Cube somehow managed to talk me into visiting the Christian Louboutin sample sale with her. In fairness it didn’t take much persuading. The conversation went something like this:
Shini: Are you going to the Louboutin sample sale this afternoon?
Shini: Why not?
Me: I don’t have room for any more shoes.
Shini: Just come!
And that’s how I ended up with yet another pair of shoes. Although, I think you’ll agree, they were a pretty good purchase. So far I’ve only worn them in the day, with black skinny jeans and Juicy Couture’s distressed denim, but I can’t wait to wear them on a night out. They’re actually pretty comfortable too, which is an unexpected bonus!

The Elizabeth and James silk kimono jacket is a couple of years old now, and I get it out every single summer. It reminds me of Nicole Richie – which is always a good thing to look for in a garment. If you’re after something similar vintage is the obvious way to go, but if you’re pressed for time try River Island instead. They have an entire kimono section on their website.
Do you like this look? Are silk kimono jackets one of your summer style staples? Let me know…
