Last week I was at an event in London where I spent most of the evening admiring the PR’s pretty colour-block blouse. Eventually I asked who it was by – expecting to the answer to be Carven, Equipment or even Whistles – but I was stunned when she leaned in and revealed the brand. It was a bargain buy from Dorothy Perkins!
Now, the product shot above might not look that special, but trust me, this £28 shirt is an absolute must-have. It looks incredible on and is the perfect mid-season wardrobe fixer. Wear it to the office with a pencil skirt or tailored trousers, and pair it with distressed jeans and statement sandals at the weekend.

This week I’m also loving Whistles’ latest product drop, especially the navy wide-leg culottes. At the beginning of the season I was a little wary of this trend, but after seeing a number of stylish women wearing culottes out and about in London I’m finally sold on the look. Ideally they should be worn with mules (uh oh), but a pair of block heels or jazzy brogues will also do the trick.
P.S the Net-A-Porter USA end-of-season sale has just begun. Shop, shop, shop!
