Like Burberry, I always prefer Topshop Unique’s Autumn/Winter collections to their Spring/Summer offerings. And this season was arguably their best show to date. The collection was presented at the Turbine Hall in the Tate Modern, and included a viewing platform for the public, which was pretty cool. After all, Topshop is an accessible, high street brand, so why not give the customer a chance to experience the excitement of Unique’s London Fashion Week show too?
This season the collection was jam-packed with clothes girls want to wear. The coats and jackets were particularly strong (I loved the navy style with the bottle green faux-fur trim), and the slouchy, suede knee-high boots were also seriously chic. For some reason puffy, quilted hot pants made one too many appearances on the runway (something tells me these won’t catch on), but all in all there was a lot to get excited about here.
And, just like Burberry once again, Topshop‘s front row was pretty spectacular. Kate Moss sat beside her younger sister, Lottie, and Tophsop boss, Sir Philip Green. Anna Wintour squeezed in next to Kendall Jenner, who was making her London Fashion Week debut. And British actress Ashley Madekwe brought some serious sparkle to the event with her sequin Topshop skirt.
And Kate Moss rocked up in Topshop’s tropical print bomber suit. Naturally it immediately become a million times more popular after Mossy was photographed wearing it!
