During London Fashion Week The May Fair Hotel became my home-away-from-home. As the Official Hotel for London Fashion Week there was a great vibe there throughout the five days, with people constantly coming and going (most of time with dozens of garment bags in tow and a “get me a bucket of coffee right now” expression on their face).
I was lucky enough to stay in one of the hotel’s Junior Suites – acting as the “Blogger in Residence” – and as the room was so luxurious I just wanted to spend all my time lounging on the bed watching TV. Sadly, however, there was work to be done and shows to attend, so a House of Cards marathon wasn’t a possibility.
Here’s a little tour of the suite, as I know everyone likes to have a nosey around hotel rooms…
At the back of the suite there was a walk in wardrobe/kitchen. Then the bedroom, with a gorgeously comfy double bed and flat screen TV. You could close off the bedroom from the rest of the suite with rose-printed drapes (which matched the carpet), or keep the suite open plan.
The living room included yet another ginormous flat screen TV (because, clearly, one just isn’t enough), a stack of fashion magazines and complimentary macarons and champagne. Now do you see why I didn’t want to leave?
Everyone who came to visit me at the hotel thought the Union Jack fridge was my suitcase. I can confirm my suitcase is not this jazzy.
