How Do You Feel About Christmas Jumpers?

Christmas jumpers are everywhere this year! Somehow they’ve clawed their way up from the bottom of the fashion food chain to become the ‘It’ style item, with sales reportedly rising by 58%. I even saw a woman wearing one on New Bond Street this morning, which is solid proof they’re now accepted in even the most elite fashion circles.

In fact, the Harrods press team have spent the day in festive knits to support Save The Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. ‘It’s fantastic to be able to bring the team together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas for such a good cause. And, of course, doing so in style with a bit of Harrods sparkle,’ Lauren Stevenson, Head Of PR & Communications at Harrods, told me. (FYI: Lauren’s top pick this Christmas is Pinko’s fuzzy penguin sweatersooo cute!)

I’m Wearing: ASOS reindeer cardigan | Claire’s lion necklace c/o | Kurt Geiger handbag c/o

In the past I’ve resisted the urge to buy a Christmas jumper, but this year I finally gave into the trend after spotting ASOS’ reindeer cardigan. It’s classically festive, – rather than playful and naff – so I know I’ll wear it more than once. Plus, the oversized shape and low v-neck make it perfect for layering with Uniqlo heattech and roll-neck T-shirts.

So, I’ve been converted to the trend, but will you be wearing a Christmas jumper this year? And if the answer is yes, what does your novelty knit look like? Let me know…
