Whether you colour your hair or not, it’s hard to avoid damage from blow-drying and hair styling, which is why I’m a big fan of hair oil treatments. Moroccanoil is my favourite, and I’m constantly recommending it, but at £31 it’s not always a realistic beauty spend. Which is why I’m so excited to have discovered John Frieda’s Full Repair Repairing Oil Elixir. The budget buy isn’t a direct competitor to Moroccanoil, but it’s easily the best drugstore hair treatment I’ve ever tried.
The Full Repair Oil Elixir is a clear liquid (whilst Moroccanoil is a richer, heavier texture) and you just need to brush a few pumps into damp hair before blow drying. I’ve been using it for a week now, and my hair feels noticeably different – the ends are much softer and it has a glossy, silky finish. I’ll still continue to use Moroccanoil, of course, but will make sure I always have a bottle of Oil Elixir in my dresser from now on too.
So now whatever your budget there really is no excuse not to have healthy hair à la Karlie Kloss… What’s your favourite hair oil treatment?
