Tibi is a brand we associate with New York cool. We expect chunky knits, oversized parkas, smart tailored trousers and statement party dresses. It might not be your first stop for fashion-forward footwear, however, but I have a feeling that’s about to change this Autumn/Winter. The Tibi shoes for Fall 2013 are so impressive you’ll probably want to buy the entire collection – and wear at least three different pairs a day! Amy Smilovic has all your A/W needs covered: there are flat ankle boots, stiletto ankle boots, chunky heeled ankle boots, thigh high boots pointed-toe flats, open-toe stilettos, closed-toe stilettos… the list literally goes on and on. Nothing has been overlooked, and everything is finished to a really high quality. Take a look at the collection highlights:
I was very kindly gifted a pair of the Esther Slingback Pumps and can honestly say they are the most comfortable heels I own. The pointed-toe doesn’t pinch at all (!!!!!!) and there’s no risk of getting blisters on the back of your heels. I wore them to the Juicy Couture #JuicyJeans event, last week, and they didn’t hurt a bit – despite the fact I was standing on hard, marble flooring all evening.
But the best thing about Tibi’s footwear is the pricing. Most pairs of heels and ankle boots cost between £250 and £350, which – although expensive – is considerably cheaper than most designer shoes. I don’t think it will be long before I’m investing in another pair (or two)!
