British Vogue are really pulling out all the stops with their covers this year! Without making a fuss or courting publicity they’ve quietly switched to a more fashion-focused direction, and have so far photographed six models for their 2013 covers (and only two celebrities). Freja Beha Erichsen is the latest face to get the Vogue treatment, covering the August issue in one of Céline’s Autumn/Winter 2013 ‘laundry bag’ designs. I absolutely love the cover, and more than anything am thrilled to see an actual smile on the cover of Vogue. If fashion is lacking anything today it’s big, cheesy grins!
Freja was photographed for the magazine by Patrick Demarchelier and for the accompanying editorial “exudes a playful urchin attitude in this season’s plaids and pinstripes.” Don’t you just love fashion? Where else would you hear the phrase “playful urchin attitude”? You can’t help but laugh…
Anyway, I’m 99.9% sure I read on a blog somewhere that Cara Delevingne has been photographed for British Vogue’s September issue. Annoyingly, however, I can’t remember where I saw the article, and Google isn’t throwing up any links. It wouldn’t surprise me though, despite the fact she also covered the March issue.
Do you like Freja Beha Erichsen’s latest British Vogue cover? Would you like to see Cara cover the September issue?
