Last week I started watching House of Cards on Netflix and at the time of writing I have one more episode to watch. It’s totally addictive, so I suggest you start watching the political drama now, if you haven’t done so already. There are many reasons to love HoC (Robin Wright’s wardrobe is big selling point), and I’m excited that the show has helped boost Kate Mara’s profile. The 30-year-old actress (and older sister to Rooney) plays journalist Zoe Barnes. Kate spends most of her time on screen in hooded jackets and lingerie; but off set she’s a serious fashion girl, favouring Christian Dior, Miu Miu, Jason Wu and Zac Posen. If Kate Mara isn’t already on your radar make sure you’re following her style from here on out!
Although Kate isn’t a big celebrity name (yet) she pulled off one of the best red carpet looks in recent years. Remember the gorgeous sunshine yellow Zac Posen dress at the 2008 Met Gala? That was Kate! And she still knows how to rock a yellow frock, as she looked stunning in a Christian Dior design at the House of Cards premiere.
