Surprisingly one of my favourite Spring/Summer 2013 trends doesn’t actually have anything to do with clothes. Instead it’s all about the eyes. The runways at New York, London, Milan and Paris all had one thing in common, this season… Models were all wearing brightly coloured eyeliner. Whether it was a subtle hint of amber or a bold stroke of fuschia pink, bright eyes were the statement look. It’s a style I’m keen to copy, and I’ll be experimenting with a range of colours and techniques. Here are four coloured eyeliner looks from the SS13 shows – they’re sure to inspire!

My favourite look is the skinny line of turquoise liner, seen at Stella McCartney. It’s fresh, fun and easy to recreate at home. I’m already a big fan of Stila’s smudge sticks (I use the khaki green religiously), so will invest in one of the brighter shades. And I’m also tempted to try Sephora’s jumbo liner in violet for a more dramatic look. If only Sephora would make a return to the UK! Here’s a selection of statement eyeliners to try:
