Don’t you just love it when fashion has a sense of humour? I mean, it’s impossible not to crack a smile when thinking about the current obsession with lobsters, isn’t it? Tibi’s Amy Smilovic was the first to go lobster mad, taking inspiration from Elsa Schiaparell, and screen-printing the crustaceans (horrible word alert) across her Resort 2013 collection.
Then came Tatty Devine’s perspex lobster necklace and the nautical T-shirt at ASOS. Three officially makes a trend, and the lobster loving is only just getting started! Topman have produced a lobster print shirt (which is now on sale – apparently men don’t dig this trend) and Macy’s and Fossil have both dipped into the look, sending subtle gold lobster charms into stores. Now there’s no stopping the trend. You could say lobsters are on a roll!
