We’re all familiar with the iconic bobo looks of summer 2004 (who could forget Sienna Miller at Glastonbury?), and this season boho is back. Just not as you know it. As part of their Spring 2013 collection, H&M are presenting what they call “new bohemia”. It’s sporty, urban and less gimmick-y than the bohemian looks we were rocking almost ten years ago.
H&M’s Head of Design, Ann-Sofie Johansson, explains why they’re championing boho again, saying: “[Boho] feels fresh again thanks to the sporty shapes, sun-bleached colours and the new forms of embellishment.” She recommends trying the tasselled skirt, which will “look so great mixed with more minimal pieces to get the best of both worlds,” and reveals her “perfect piece” is the bomber jacket, pictured above. I think the jacket is my favourite item too!
The Spring 2013 collection will be dropping in H&M stores over the coming weeks, so look out for the “new bohemia” line. It’s perfect for festival season, that’s for sure…
