Like most other twenty-somethings on the planet I’m currently spending all of my free time watching HBO’s Girls or texting/tweeting my friends about the show (sample text: “OMG Shoshanna is EVEYTHING!”) So I was really excited to spot Allison Williams – aka Marnie – on the cover of Company magazine’s February issue.
I’ve developed a pretty big girl crush on Allison over the last few months, as her red carpet style is showing great potential. I expect we’ll see her all over the front row at New York Fashion week, in early February, and surely it won’t be long until US Vogue photograph her for their “steal of the month” page.
But, for now, the 24-year-old actress is keeping busy with cover shoots. The Company editorial is really fun and playful (think bright Kat Maconie heels, clashing prints and statement sunglasses) and Allison certainly knows how to work the camera. Speaking exclusively to the magazine she summed up Girls‘ instant success, saying: “There’s not anything alienating or too hipster about it. We’re not dating substantial boys, they’re weird. It’s like a digital time capsule. People will watch it in 20 years time and it will sum up a certain generation.”
Company’s February 2013 issue is on newsstands now. Are you pleased to see Allison Williams on the cover?
