Four Spring/Summer 2013 Beauty Looks to Try at Home

The Spring/Summer 2013 shows are drawing to a close, and it’s been a fantastic season. I’ve been just as impressed by the collections as I have the beauty looks, and I can’t wait to start updating my makeup bag, ready for the new season. Here are four of my favourite SS13 looks:
Christian Dior: It was all about the eyes at Dior’s Spring/Summer 2013 show. Pat McGrath helped bring Raf Simons’ vision to life, with bright aqua eyes lined in crystals. This look could have easily stepped into drag queen territory, but glowing skin and neutral lips kept it looking modern and pretty. Try this look at home with Eye Rock crystals (£7 at ASOS) and Nars’ bold eyeshadow ($24 at Beauty.com) and metallic cream duo palette (£23 at ASOS).
Burberry Prorsum: Burberry went for a classic beauty look, this season, championing the bright red lip. With a ‘no makeup’ style applied to eyes and cheeks, Burberry’s red lip colour (in Siren, if you’re after the exact shade) appeared even more dramatic. Try Benefit’s Candy Apple lipstick ($18 at Sephora) to achieve a similar finish.

Giles: You can always rely on Giles Deacon to bring a pop of colour and a sense of humour to fashion. For SS13 he went for a fearless shocking pink lip colour, which looked brilliant on his blonde models. Louise Gray’s makeup collection for Topshop couldn’t have been timed better, as you can recreate this playful look with her Barbie pink lipstick (£10 at Topshop).

Marc Jacobs: Who better to model strong brows than Cara Delevingne? At Marc Jacobs the focus was on bushy, dark, groomed brows (Cara’s were the best on the runway), which were complimented by a nude matte lipstick. Get your brows into shape with Too Faced’s at home brow defining kit ($35 at Sephora) and Benefit’s brow shaping compact (£22.50 at ASOS).

Which Spring 2013 beauty looks are your favourites? Will you be trying any of them at home?
