Topshop Unique’s Fall 2012 collection was one of the highlights of London Fashion Week, last season; so the expectations for Spring/Summer 2013 were at an all-time high. Luckily it was another hit for Topshop, and we have their new creative director, Kate Phelan, to thank. Kate was previously the fashion director at British Vogue, and she’s brought a cool modern edge to Topshop Unique‘s brand direction. The Spring collection is both wearable and desirable…
Collection highlights included black and white checked shirts, longline blazers, sequin skirts with sheer hemlines and oversized sweatshirts. The minimalist colour palette of black, white, grey, yellow and navy felt clean and very grown up, proving Unique is now about wardrobe classics rather than playful trend-lead pieces. I’m loving the new design direction, are you too?
A snap of Elle Fanning. She was rocking the back-to-school chic look for the show!
Were you impressed with Topshop Unique’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection? Which pieces are you hoping to buy when the collection hits stores?
