Alice Temperley has got Kate Middleton’s Spring/Summer 2013 wardrobe sorted. The latest Temperley London collection was a lesson in dressing like a princess; and I don’t mean the Disney idea of princess-chic, this was the more sophisticated Grace Kelly version. The SS13 collection hit the runway on Sunday afternoon, and Alice’s designs were breathtakingly elegant.
The show started with daywear: striped summer dresses, crisp white shirt-dresses, full skirts and printed pencil skirts. It had the Duchess of Cambridge written all over it! The collection then moved into evening wear, which (for me) was the highlight. I’ve fallen head-over-heels for the soft baby blue dresses – particularly the embellished halterneck style [above left]. I’m sure it won’t be long until these designs hit the red carpet. I can’t wait!
