Mulberry Spring/Summer 2013: Poodles, Tote Bags and Garden Gnomes

Mulberry showed their Spring/Summer 2013 collection on the closing day of London Fashion Week. I always look forward to Mulberry’s collections, as I actually prefer their ready-to-wear to their handbags (not that I dislike their handbags – I really miss the Bayswater I borrowed), and this season was one of their strongest collections to date. In fact, Anna Wintour looked pretty animated throughout the show – which can only be a good sign.
For SS13 Emma Hill took inspiration from English gardens and the 1970′s. The colour palette was dreamy – with pretty mint greens and feminine peachy pinks – and the selection of outwear was seriously impressive. Here’s a look at the show’s atmosphere and collection highlights…

Garden gnomes lead to way to the runway in the ballroom at Claridge’s Hotel
From printed knitwear and spring coats through to pleated summer dresses…
The new Mulberry handbag made its debut at the SS13 show. The “Willow” sat on the front row (with Kate Moss) and also appeared on the runway for the first time. The structured tote has a detachable envelope clutch bag zipped to the front, which is both functional and super chic. It’s already my favourite Mulberry bag! See more images after the jump…

I’d love the see the mint green dress [far left] on Michelle Williams

The floral print black jacquard jacket was my favourite item in the entire collection!
This season Mulberry invited a poodle to walk the runway. SO cute!
