The end of August is about one thing, and one thing only… the back to school wardrobe. I’d always prepare weeks in advance, hoping I’d return for the new school year looking completely different (this never happened), and even though I’ve now finished with school, college and university I still love the feeling of a new beginning that comes around every September. LFW is now my back-to-school equivalent, I suppose…
Anyway, how do you get back-to-school chic even if you’re not actually going back to class? It’s pretty simple really. You just need to pick up the following items, and you’re good to go:

- A preppy blazer, like this new-season Juicy Couture number. I love it!
- Initial broaches (try Markus Lupfer), customised T-shirts & monogramed bags.
- Checked skirts (Topshop, £36) for a school uniform geek-chic style…
- A hot new crush. May I suggest On the Road actor, Garrett Hedlund?
- An assortment of hair ties. Try floral barrettes, plastic bows & metallic grips.
